This weeks Theme is RED

Ha! I bet a lot of you did Christmassy stuff didn’t ya? Me? Nope … you know I’ve always gotta be different.

This is a photo that I took on bright sunny summer day. Look at that blue sky! We were driving in our car on a busy thoroughway called the QEW or Queen Elizabeth Way in Toronto, near Lake Ontario. I was lucky the photo didn’t blur. In fact it was so sharp that I put a little motion blur where the car is in a couple versions of this photo to give it more interest. But this version- it works for this theme … bright vibrant red, speeding along on a sunny summer day.

If you are a photo scavenger hunt participant please feel free to leave a link. All other links will be removed. Please do NOT link and RUN. I really really hate that.

This weeks Theme is Light(s)

Doesn’t this kitten appear to be just floating in mid air? Or perhaps as if it jumped and someone had great timing when taking the photo? It does doesn’t it? That’s why I choose this photo for todays theme. The cat just seems to be light as air.

I think that the cat is standing on a clear glass table. What do you think?

This weeks Photo Scavenger Hunt Theme is TIME

Here’s stands a barn that has withstood the ravages of time. I love the old fence beside it on the left. I’m not sure what you call that type of fence but it’s one of those old log fences.

I took this photo this past summer when we drove from Toronto to Ottawa in July. It was just a little while after Canada Day and obviously this farm was still proud to show the Canadian flag, or perhaps they keep the flag up all the time.

I love the grasses and wild flowers growing in the foreground. The meadow smelled lovely as well. I enjoyed that trip- jumping out of the car here and there to take some amazing photos along the way. Of course I trip took about two hours longer than it should have because of this, but it was still fun.

Please don’t link and run! There is nothing that I find more rude. Photo Scavenger Hunt participants are welcome to leave their links- all non participants links will be removed.

This weeks theme is PLUSH

Cat_MouseGame

“Oh man, jumping on this kitten’s belly is so fun! and I can’t believe how plush the fur is!” Boing, boing, boing … When I found that photo I just couldn’t resist putting it up today. Isn’t it cute?

Alright well how about a cat with a plush frog costume on? Is it my imagination or does the cats eyes look funny in this shot? They look kind of slanted don’t they?

If you are a participant of Saturday Photo Scavenger Hunt please feel free to leave a link. All other links will be removed. Oh yeah – Don’t link and run! That’s rude. A number of meme participants have been doing that lately and you know what- I remove your links too.

Ok well when Mr. Linky is back up and running you’ll be able to leave a link. Mr. Linky isn’t working for this post. So strange. Oh well. Sorry Folks.

This weeks Theme is Growth

Next year, these sunflower seeds will become beautiful tall sunflowers.

Well the seeds that the birds and squirrels don’t get will grow up to be sunflowers. Each year I end up with dozens of sunflowers growing in my boulevard garden. I either pluck them out or move them toward the back (edge closed to the road) so that I can maintain the order of my little boulevard garden.

In the ground they will grow until they become towering plants with thick stalks and multiple blooms – just like this one.

Gorgeous aren’t they?

I still haven’t cut down the stalks from this summers growth yet. I will have to get that done this week because before I know it snow will be here. Through the winter I’ll spend some time looking at these sunny photos. It will help me get through the darkest coldest days.
