1000s of Windows

This Weeks Theme is Window

You want windows? I’ve got windows for you, plenty of them!

DSC00767

I took this photo in downtown Chicago when we went there for a visit in August. This photo didn’t make the cut for my photoblog but it’s perfect for this scavenger theme.

I would not want to have a job washing this buildings windows. You’d just finally get finished and you’d have to start all over again. Plus I’m afraid of heights so I don’t think I’d ever end up with a job as a window washer anyway.

Have a great Saturday!

Updated November 9th, 7:48 pm: Thank you for all of your comments. I really didn’t think any of you would want to wash this buildings windows! LOL I loved the creative ideas that you came up with to wash the window though like a fire hydrant filled with windex! Silly people. It would have been interesting if someone that does wash windows for a living had commented. I know it’s probably a lot easier to do this job now than it was 30 or 50 years ago, but it’s still a dangerous job. Even more dangerous in places like India or Asia where they make bamboo structures that the washers climb without ropes to clean the windows. Now that’s dangerous.

That last paragraph added for PPP ’cause this post was too short? I don’t get it.

This weeks theme is SAFE

There’s nothing safer for a baby than being with it’s mother.

I believe I can safely say that babies from all species raised by their parents feel this way. I love this photo of the baby elephant and it’s mother. It looks like it was taken at sunset.

Don’t you think this photo should be a poster?

Don’t forget to visit Odd Planet – there’s a great photo for the theme there this week!

Cobra dream car

The Theme for this weeks Hunt is Dreaming:

I have lots of dreams and wishes, some might happen, some might not.

One of the things that I would love someday is a convertible. I just love the look of them. Actually an old Porche Cararra 911 (1980’s style) is at the top of my vehicle dream list.

Chris and I saw this Cobra while we were in Brantford, Ontario two weeks ago:

Now that’s pretty nice too!

I think we’d at least have to have a house with a garage if we got one of these, wouldn’t we? I mean considering the climate here and all.

Sleeping Dragons

This weeks theme is Sleeping:

Chris and Puff the Chinese Water Dragon –

Chris and Puff the magic dragon

Chris was spending some time with our water dragon Puff, but he fell asleep while watching TV. I took this photo about 8 years ago.

I don’t have any of my Chinese water dragons anymore. Now I know that many of you that are viewing these photos don’t care for reptiles, but these lizards are beautiful. Unfortunately you aren’t seeing the best of my photos because I had to find ones to fit the sleeping theme. I do have some beautiful photos of my dragons. In fact, three of my photos and an article that I wrote about the care of Chinese water dragons were just published in an annual magazine called Reptiles USA 2007. I’m amazed that I have an article running in a magazine for a whole year.

sleeping dragons

Night, Puff and Rogue all fell asleep together in one big pile o’ lizard. I miss those girls. They were my babies.

Now, as I said earlier, I know some of you don’t like reptiles, but if you are leaving a comment please don’t say anything bad about them – these were family to me. They were beautiful, smart and sweet.

If you are a Saturday Photo Scavenger Hunt participant please feel free to leave a link. All other links will be removed. Please don’t link and run either as that is rude.
