Stupidest TV show ever

November 16, 2006 by Tricia

I was up late one night, laptop in my lap (where else would it be anyway?), watching TV and surfing sites on the net when the stupidest TV show that I think I’ve ever seen came on the comedy channel. It’s called Team Sanchez and I guess it’s meant to be along the lines of that sequel movie that came out this past summer with guys doing stupid stunts.

In 30 minutes of watching I’ve seen guys lying on a floor covered in tacs, then having someone jump on their chest or skateboard on their chest to drive the tacs in to the person lying on the grounds body. Plus another scene with four of the guys crawling and rolling on a floor covered in tacs.

The most offensive and stupidest part that I saw was when one of the guys stood beside a riled up rattlesnake and of course it struck him in the leg. A man was on hand to give an antivenom shot, but still how stupid can you be. Anti-venom doesn’t always work and it has all kinds of complications. I certainly wouldn’t want to be given some just because I did a stupid stunt. Also, think about it, now in the area that, that stunt was filmed there’s one less anti-venom treatment for someone who really needs it. Stupid!

The guys did other stupid things like jumping off a bridge with only a rope around them; standing in front of one of those automatic baseball shooters and letting the balls hit their bodies and lying in a vat of earthworms eating the worms while soaking in the slime. Bleahhhhh.

Idiots

Suicide Dive

November 14, 2006 by Tricia

I must be on a stupid kick today.

You’ve got to see this video- it’s only 10 seconds long and it’s not in English so don’t worry if your sound isn’t turned on:

It’s gotta be some kind of contest, but I can’t figure out what they are trying to win, most elaborate funeral perhaps? They are actually rating the dives!

I don’t know how high the cliff is, but it must be a couple hundred feet wouldn’t you say? The diver looks like he’s landing on sandy ground. What could be the point of doing this other than as I said to get an elaborate funeral or into the Guinness book of records for stupidest stunt?

When I saw the beginning of this video I thought it was going to be a cliff dive into water.

I remember when I was very little there used to be a show on TV that broadcast an annual cliff diving competition. I can’t remember where it was but Hawaii comes to mind. The show was just a vague memory until I saw the beginning of this video and it all came back to me.

Do you have a tattoo?

November 14, 2006 by Tricia

I’m not all that cool I guess. I don’t have one single tattoo.

You know why? Well, it’s not because I don’t like them – I do like tattoos if they’re done tastefully. The real reason why I don’t have one yet is because I can’t decide!

I’ve looked at different tattoo patterns for a number of years. I’d really like to get a dragon tattoo on the back of my shoulder or perhaps my lower back but I can’t find one that looks anything like what I’m picturing in my head. The dragons I see are either too Asian, Gothic lizard dragons, cartoon dragons or real lizard tattoos. I want one that’s a mix of Asian, goth and real since I am after all – the dragon lady.

Of course if I ever do get a tattoo I can’t let my in-laws know. They’d freak, or at least I think they would. About the only kind of tattoo that I think they would tolerate would be one of those religious tattoos. Yes, they are extremely religious- they live across the street from a church and my mother in law works in another church in the town they live in. So yeah, a religious tattoo might fly, but nothing else that I could think of would be acceptable.

Do any of you know where I might find the kind of dragon design tattoo that I’ve been dreaming of? Huh do ya, do ya?

Oh and what kind of tattoo do you have- if you have one?

My Karma List

November 13, 2006 by Tricia

Do you ever watch “My Name Is Earl”? You know he’s written out a list of all the bad things that he’s done in his life and in each episode he picks an item from his list in order to try to right the wrong he did in the past. He does this to try to bring good Karma into his life – and when he fails everything goes wrong around him.

I’m sure that everyone could write a list of wrongs that they have done to others. I don’t think that anyone is good enough not to have done something to bad or mean to another.

I thought I’d try to write out a karma list for myself:

1. I used to go into my parents liquor cabinet and take a little bit of alcohol from each bottle, pouring it into a coke bottle or can to make an occasional drink to share with my friends when my parents weren’t around or when I was going out to a party. Sorry!

2. I also used to top of those alcohol bottles with water to bring the level back up. Sorry for the weak drinks you might have had Mom and Dad.

3. I had a few parties when my parents when out of town as well. One they found out about, and at least one they didn’t know about. Man I was a bad girl.

4. Might as well say sorry for going downtown to party when I was as young as 14, but looking like an 18 year old, then going over the bridge to Hull where the drinking age is 18 to party over there till 4 or 5 am. Sorry again mom and Dad.

Hmmm I can’t think of any other things that I did that were really bad. Perhaps grumbling about my old lady next door neighbor since I know she’s just lonely, but she spies on me and it drives me nuts.

What would an item on your karma list be?

Photography corner

November 13, 2006 by Tricia

I think most of you know that I’ve really become quite enthused by photography, particularly in the last few months with the start of my own photoblog Breath Of Life Photography. Right? As you can’t miss all my photo’s in the posts each week. LOL

Well, if you are interested in photography- as I am- and would like to learn more about different techniques or just simply make connections with other photographers and enthusiasts, you might be interested in peeking at the photography resources over at Photography Corner.

I just joined the photography corner forums and I’m amazed at how many different topics they have. You can talk with others on the forums from everything about general photography to discussing equipment, get feedback on your site or photos, enter photo contests and even go through photography tutorials.

The resource area looks good too- again there are tutorials, a section with photography related articles, and product articles. Plus don’t miss the photo galleries that they have just started.

If I go missing you might be able to find me in the Photography corner forums. I think I’m going to hang out over there for a while. See Ya!
