Get treated like a VIP with MDVIP

June 12, 2007 by Tricia

If you feel like your doctor doesn’t pay attention to you when you visit him or her, or perhaps your HMO doesn’t let you or your family see a doctor as often as you feel that’s needed you might be interested in looking into MDVIP where they practice something that’s known as Concierge Medicine.

MDVIP is a health care program where the doctors are able to give more focused care to their patients. In fact, the doctors only take on a limited patient load in order to devote more of their time and attention to their current patients.

The focus at MDVIP is preventive medicine. By that I mean the doctors that work with MDVIP provide more detailed and thorough screenings and checkups for their patients in order to catch any illnesses or disorders early or in fact prevent them from occurring in the first case.

Patients are actually given their doctors cell phone or beeper number that they may call day or night if they feel it’s necessary. Now that’s VIP service isn’t it. I’m actually kind of surprised that they offer that level of service!

Now, I live in Canada and we have a great health care system but one of the things we don’t get is such personalized healthcare. That’s one advantage Americans have over us.

If MDVIP sounds like a great health care program you can visit the MDVIP website and learn more about switching over. There’s quite a bit of information on the site including patient testimonials, an FAQ and information about joining the program.

Feeling sucky today

June 12, 2007 by Tricia

I feel like such a whiner these days. It seems that each day that goes by I just feel worse and worse. Yet at the same time I’m so sick of doctors appointments that don’t seem to help.

I think I’ve tried every kind of medication for Crohn’s there is. I’ve tried bland diets, elimination diets, lived on broth and jello … there’s just not much else that I can do.

I could live with some of the symptoms that I have if I could just get the pain level down. Yeah, I’m on pain meds too …

If you need a criminal lawyer …

June 12, 2007 by Tricia

I hope that no one ever needs the services of Los Angeles Criminal & DUI Lawyers, but I thought that I’d let you know of the services of an experienced team of lawyers in case you ever do find yourself in a court room needed a good defense attorney.

Kestenbaum, Eisner & Gorin are a team of former L.A. prosecutors and a law professor who specialize in aggressive courtroom defense. Together they have over 50 years experience. They are experienced in defending people in federal cases, felonies and misdemeanors, juvenile crime, 3 strike crimes, DUI and many other types of criminal cases.

As I said, I do hope that no one ever really needs the services of a criminal lawyer but if you ever find that you do visit their website to learn more about their practice and the cases they’ve defended in the past.

I’d love to live in the mountains

June 12, 2007 by Tricia

If I were considering moving anywhere I think I’d want to move somewhere where I’d have a view of mountains and gorgeous scenery every day no matter what the season. Can you imagine the photographs I’d be posting if I lived in a place of such majestic beauty!

There are a few places on my short list of mountainous areas that I’d probably enjoy living in and one of those is the community of Asheville, which is located in the mountains of Western North Carolina.

Now I’ve never been there, but from what I’ve been reading on the Asheville Real Estate website I do think that I’d like the area. The town of Asheville itself is a growing community with good schools, shopping, arts and entertainment available to all residents of the area.

The community is actually growing quite fast, so now would be a good time to take a look at Asheville homes as I believe they are a worthy investment and sure to continue to be a good investment.

There are even some beautiful luxury homes in the Asheville area. Just take a look at this map called luxury homes Asheville that has markers placed where all the luxury homes that are for sale are located. Wow, there’s some nice homes there with beautiful views!

If anyone lives in this area of Carolina I’d love to hear from you. Honestly, I’d love to live near a beautiful mountain range such as this some day.

Time for a yard sale

June 12, 2007 by Tricia

I just went into the basement. I never go into the basement.

Never.

It’s a mess!!! Since our house has been in a constant state of renovation since the day we moved in and we only have two closets in the whole house, everything that we plan to use when certain rooms are finished being renovated is in the basement.

Unfortunately, I’m now certain that there’s a lot of other stuff down there that we’ll never use.

There’s some old furniture that I was going to use but I think I might just replace when the rooms are renovated, and then there’s all of Chris’ sporting equipment that he hasn’t used from the time I’ve known him! Stuff like hockey equipment, golf clubs, baseball gear and so on. I’ve got a lot of books and knick knacks that I don’t think I’ll end up using either.

Maybe I’ll go through everything in the basement and see what things are there that I don’t think we’ll ever use again and then set things up for a yard sale.

Yeah, that’s what I’ll do! Anyone want to come to a yard sale? We have nice junk.
