Emoze Free push email service

November 29, 2006 by Tricia

It’s about time a true “push” email service like emoze 1.30 came along. If you are interested in such a program you can download it for free at www.emoze.com. The program is easy to set up and you’ll using a Real “push” email program in no time.

In the past, this type of service was only available mainly in a very costly package and mostly restricted to a specific hardware and software platforms such as Blackberry.

I didn’t fully understand what exactly real push email was until I did some reading on it. I’ll explain how it works in case you as as clueless as I was to begin with. Emoze automatically pushes your email and Personal Information Manager (PIM) data. Data such as contacts, and diary scheduling are “pushed” to your mobile phone as soon as it is sent to you without you having to go through the process of connecting to a service every time you want to send or receive your emails or PIM data. Was that easier to understand? Can you see now why a service such as this would come in handy and how useful it could be?

You need to have an email account, and a compatible device – mobile phone – and that’s it! The current release works with all Microsoft pocketPC applications/ devices.

In the very near future a new release of Emoze will be released. This new version- 1.2 – will be compatible with the vast majority of Smart-Phones and symbian devices such as Nokia S60 and S70. Hmmm I wonder if it will work with my Nokia Smart phone 6882? That would be great if it does. Email and calendar reminders all the time no matter where I am? Great!

The Emoze technology is focused around personal and corporate privacy, providing one of the best security solutions available for mobile email. You can feel safe using emoze as they don’t gather or send information from your PC or in-box. Type freely as there are no cookies, no spyware and no duplication of user data on emoze servers. It will be interesting to see where this new technology takes us in the future, won’t it?

Singapore Swingers hit Feverishthoughts.com – HARD

November 29, 2006 by Tricia

My dear friend Mr. Fab started a campaign a few months ago to try to get more people from China to visit his site. Why I’m not really certain. I think it was just an interesting challenge for him. He really only tried on and off for a few weeks and from what he said he didn’t have that much success.

I, on the other hand, have been having lots of visitors from China. Mainly on my reptile related site but I do think I get more visitors from China on my Feverishthoughts network that Mr. Fab does right now.

Why am I writing about this? Well the other day, last Saturday I think, my husband Chris wrote a story on Odd Planet about how Swingers clubs are becoming increasingly popular in Singapore. We both thought it was an interesting story, but lets facing it, there have been a lot more interesting and funny stories on Odd Planet than the Singapore Swing story.

To our surprise, when I was checking the site stats for my small feverishthoughts network of sites I noticed a huge increase in visitor rates over at odd planet beginning on Sunday. I investigated to see what was going on and I found that over 800 searches for Singapore Sg or Singapore Swingers had brought people to Odd Planet. Monday there were about 600 similar visits. Tuesday maybe 300. So it’s slowing down, but that’s a huge increase in visits for just one simple little post.

Right now, the top search terms for all of the feverishthoughts blogs combined are:

united sg swingers 636
united sg swinger 182
sg swingers 35
sg swinger 16
united sg swingers website 13
hugh laurie snl 78
hugh laurie 14
lucious 17
maniquins 14
photo scavenger hunt 12

Now, the Singapore swing post went up on Odd Planet at about 7 am on Saturday, and the stats are for the whole month, but obviously all the swinger search stats have occurred between Saturday and 6 am Tuesday morning … so four days, there were 882 swinger searches, and even more hits between reading the post and visiting comments etc.

Why did I bring up Fabs quest for China earlier? Well, I also noticed an increase in visitors from Singapore, malaysia, Hong Kong and China – so fab if you want more visitors from China you’d better write something controversial and maybe Kinky about china and see what happens. Ok?

One other pleasing benefit of looking at my stats? The four sites that are live on Feverishthoughts.com – Tricia’s Musings, As the Garden Grows, Breath of Life and Odd Planet are getting bookmarked a lot! A full third of the visitors to these sites are adding them to their bookmarks. Thank you! You like us, you really like us!

Web Design and site maintenance

November 27, 2006 by Tricia

I’ve been very busy in the last week or more- posting away like a nut on all my sites and slowly working in the background for a popular blogger to fix up his main site and getting three others ready to launch properly.

If he likes my work I will be launching a small part time business doing web design, graphics, and site maintenance.

I haven’t tried my hand at creating full WordPress or Blogger themes but I’ve certainly had a lot of experience modifying designs and changing the whole look and feel of an existing design. At this time I would be willing to do that for others.

The majority of the work I hope and expect to take on will be Site Maintenance.

This is the type of scenario that I can see people using my services for:

1. Are you busy?

2. You have a family to take care of and a job, but you also love to blog.

3. You want to change several things in your sidebar or your header but you either don’t know how to do it well or you simply don’t have time.

4. You don’t want to tinker with your blog, you just want to blog. You’d rather have someone else fix things for you.

5. You’ve been trying to change somethings on your site, even adding a blogroll to the sidebar, but it’s not working for you and you’re getting frustrated.

6. You wish you could just hire someone to do all the stuff that you either don’t like to do, get frustrated doing or have no clue how to do- for a reasonable price.

If you fall into any of these categories you might be interested in what I have to offer.

I’m willing to tinker with your site after you’ve given up trying.

I can organize your sidebar so it’s neat and tidy, rather than glaring and distracting. Offer you design advice and possibly even make some graphics for you your sidebar or a new header for your site. Any of those changes can make your site seem new to you and to your regular visitors/ readers.

I haven’t set up any type of price lists yet. At the moment I have no idea what kind of prices that I’ll charge other than the fact that I’d like to keep them affordable and reasonable. For example- I can’t see working on something for an hour or two and only getting paid $5, but neither would I feel comfortable charging you a $100 for something that takes only an hour either.

Readers and Visitors – have you used the services of a web designer in the past? Would you be so kind as to help me out by telling me what kind of prices you were charged for the work that was done on your site?

Price for re-design?
new header?
title graphics in your sidebar?
adding a blogroll with graphic?
creating roll up menus in your sidebar?
Installing plug-ins on your site?

If you could reply back and tell me the approximate prices you made for web services I’d really appreciate it. Remember I want to offer you an affordable service that’s beneficial for both you and I.

Thanks!

November 25, 2006 by Tricia

If you are running a small or large business and you’ve paid to get publicity for your company but felt that you didn’t get what you paid for then Publicity Guaranteed might be the right company for you to work with.

High Performance Affiliate Marketing E-Book

November 24, 2006 by Tricia

I’ve just discovered an e-book that discusses High Performance Affiliate Marketing, which as many of you know is of high interest to me these days since I’m home sick from work and unable to work as a nurse at this time.

The E-book is a “how-to” guide that focus’ on how you can make money online as an affiliate. The book is on sale right now for only $49.95, but only until December 2nd, then it reverts back to it’s regular price of $99.95. The E-Book claims that it will show you everything you need to know in order to generate massive profits as an affiliate. You’ll learn how to find profitable products and services in which to promote, find niche markets with little completion, achieve top search engine rankings and more.

When you purchase the High Performance Affiliate Marketing book you’ll not only have access to the downloadable e-book, but you’ll be given access to an exclusive members area with the most up to date practical information available.

In the last few months things have started to really click for me on the internet as far as making money goes. If this booklet can show me better ways to achieve my goals- I’m in.
