Site of the day

December 18, 2006 by Tricia

Hey, I just discovered that I’m the site of the day over at Payperp0st! I should feel special but I think they’re just randomly picking sites from their list of bloggers. Well, whatever the reason I do appreciate the extra exposure.

I guess December is Tricia’s Musings month. The site was featured on Bestest blog of all time as a blog of the day, Mr. Joes Blog in an interview that I did for him, and just this past Friday I did an interview on Blog TO, a Toronto related blog.

I wonder if this is it for the month or if some other interesting thing might happen to highlight my site?

Thanks for the visit if you’ve come from P, Bestest Blog, Joes or BlogTO. Welcome.

Is your boss late giving you reviews?

December 17, 2006 by Tricia

My old boss was always terribly late when she gave yearly updates. She was the most disorganized person I’ve ever seen in my life. If she was still my boss I give her a copy of this Performance Rev1ew Software that I just found. It’s fantastic. Well I think it would have been.

Anyone who is managing anywhere from a few or more people would find this software helpful as it helps a manager track, evaluate and control the behavior, performance and activities of their employees. Rather than keeping all the employee information in files or various systems, a manager could keep all of the information they need in one place on their computer. Just that alone would simplify things for most bosses.

What else can a manager do with this software? Well they could track employee attendance, tardiness, missed hours, absences, employee incidents, schedule employee training sessions and expenses, plus many many more things. Actually I think it sounds like this software could track or help you organize just about any kind of information regarding your employees that you’d want it to.

Don’t forget to visit my new blogs

December 17, 2006 by Tricia

Just a reminder to everyone. Remember that I’ve created a few new blogs and I’d love for you to come visit them occasionally.

If you are a fan of the hit TV show House you’ll love my new 451press.com blog Watching House. I’m busy filling it up with recaps of recent shows, stories about Hugh Laurie and even some old video of him on his hit British Television series, and other news stories such as Golden Globe nominations. Come visit. Tell me what you want to see there and I’ll try to make it a regular part of the new blog.

The other new blog is called Celebrity Scoop. I’m still feeling my way on that one but I’ve been writing about recent star sightings, breaking news, and occasionally about hot fashion trends. Check it out and give me some suggestions as to what you’d like to see there too.

I was interviewed by BlogTO

December 16, 2006 by Tricia

I completely forgot to mention that my interview was posted over at Blog TO. It’s a blog about all things Toronto and it’s fairly popular. They have a section called Blogerati and they regularly do interviews with fellow Toronto bloggers in that area.

I was pleased to have been contacted by them for an interview. I managed to plug a few of the bloggers that I like to visit in my interview as well. Check out the interview to see if I mentioned you.

Oh and in case I do happen to get some visitors from BlogTo. First of welcome to my humble little blog, and second – would you like to join the Toronto Bloggers Blogroll? Or if you live too far outside of Toronto .. like maybe Nova Scotia or British Columbia perhaps then you might be interested in Joining the I am Canadian Blogroll? They’re free to join for all Toronto or Canadian bloggers (even Canadians living in other Countries right now too).

What the … ?

December 15, 2006 by Tricia

Spam!

Yesterday I kept deleting spam that Akismet had caught for this blog. I didn’t keep track but it was coming in fast – 10 here, 30 there, 46 and so on. I’m sure I caught over 200 spam messages on this blog alone yesterday. The others were hopping too, but not anywhere near as much as this blog.

Today … I moderated a comment on my photoblog. While I was behind the scenes on that blog I noticed that I had 339 spam messages waiting for me to decide what to do with. Have you ever gone through that much spam on your blog at once to figure out if any are real messages? Then I checked my other blogs. Four more of them had spam too. I came up with a grand total of 479 spam messages today from 7 a.m. ’til 3 p.m on a total of 5 blogs.

I get enough spam in my email. I don’t need it in my blogs too!

Cease and Desist would you.
