World Premiere of FrightWorld

October 25, 2006 by Tricia

What are you doing this coming Halloween evening? Would you like to go to FrightWorld The Movie World Premiere? Do you enjoy Horror movies? If you could do you should not miss this event. What could be better than combining the most frightening night of the year with the world premiere of a horror film that’s touted as being an cross between Friday the 13th and the shining?

Frightworld, the World Movie premiere is taking place at Frightworld Haunted Amusement Park – one of the top 13 scream parks in the USA, in Williamsville, New York. If there is anyway that you can attend this event I think it will be more than worth going.

I’m totally a horror movie and horror novel fan. I previewed a short movie clip at the site and it looks like a real hide under the seat and scream until someone you love puts a comforting arm around you kind of movie. I’d love to go and see it myself but, unfortunately it’s too far away for me to travel. I’ll have to wait until it’s in a theater near me.

Not only will you attend the first screening of this new horror movie, you will be able to attend a Q& A with the stars of the movie – Dina Cataldi, Tiffany Scott and more. You’ll meet Kamilla “Katexenna” Kova, UK Fetish Model and Star of FrightWorld, FrightWorld Writer, Producer and Director David R Williams, and the FrightWorld FX Team. You’ll also Tour Frightworld Haunted Attractions 5 Award Winning Houses of Horror.

Isn’t it appropriate that exactly 13 bands participated in Frightworld – Marazene, Any Question, Obomatic, Punch Drunk, Imbued Vagary, Machine Gun Symphony/Charlie Drown, Synthetic Dream Foundation, Darker Days Tomorrow, Apikorism, Sick Machine, Abandcalledpain, and Tearwave.

If you’re interested in going you can buy advance tickets through the site link above for only $23 or else you can get them at the box office for $25 on the day of the show.

If anyone attends please let me know if it was as scary as it looks like it’s going to be.

Beach Cruisers

October 22, 2006 by Tricia

Wow, I was surfing the net- what else do I do these days? and I came across an interesting bike called “Beach cruisers. Given the name you probably think it’s some kind of bike that you ride on the beach, but you don’t have to live at the beach to ride this bike. It’s supposed to be comfortable and relaxing.

The bikes are actually really cool looking. You should visit the site just to see them. There are womens, mens, kids, classic beach, multi-speed and chopper style model bikes to choose from, and the prices seem quite reasonable too.

Save tons of $ on long distance calls

October 21, 2006 by Tricia

Have you heard about Pingo International and Prepaid calling cards yet? I wish I had when we had our South Korean and Brazilian boarders here. We could have suggested that they use the Pingo calling cards to save money on their long distance calls.

If you make a lot of long distance calls to other Countries International prepaid calling cards might be just what you need. You’ll get $5 USD in free calls just for signing up. Visit the site and see for yourself how many options you have. You can use a Pingo calling card with your mobile phone, and believe it or not the rates for use with a cell phone are very good. You’ll have Pinless dialing with Pinpass which means no more inputting huge numbers into the phone before you can make your call. You can also use Pingo International and prepaid calling cards to call over 35 Countries.

You purchase calling time with your credit card and Pingo provides you with your own unique Personal Identification Number (PIN) and a toll-free access number. Then you’re ready to start using Pingo and saving on long distance calls. You can also use a service called auto-charge which will automatically refil your calling card when it reaches $5 USD. You’ll also be able to check your call history and billing online.

After having boarders here and having them tell me how much it cost them to call back home I know, that after viewing some of the rates on the Pingo site that the long distance calling rates are very low. For example, if my boarder from South Korea called home using a pingo card the calling card rates would have been as low as 2.4 cents per minute. My Brazilian boarder would have got rates as low as 2 cents per minute!

If you sign up with Pingo you can also earn some money towards your long distance calls. During the month of October you can earn $10 for each friend you refer to pingo. The normal referral rate is $5. Also, if you have a website you can sign up for Pingo’s affiliate program and earn some extra cash when someone signs up for a Pingo International and prepaid calling card.

Pingo calling cards are ideal for anyone that makes long distance calls. Go see for yourself, check the calling card rates to other countries, and view just how many countries you can call with a Pingo International calling card. I’m sure you’ll agree that there are savings to be had by using a Pingo prepaid calling card.

Nocturnal Turtle

October 20, 2006 by Tricia

First, a Friday Funny – It’s short, cute and well uh explosive:

I just love the little grin at the end!

_____________________________

We’ve already established that I’m nocturnal, but it seems that my turtle, who should be sleeping through the night, has decided to have a party every night!

It’s not like the living room lights are on and keeping him up. He’s in the dark and he should be sleeping. But he’s not. The last two nights, or should I say early mornings, he’s become very active at about 4 a.m. Maybe he’s training for the Olympics? Planning the great escape?

He comes out of his shelter, then he attempts to climb on top of his home. He usually doesn’t get to the top on the first try. Nope, he noisily attempts to climb it several times, falling backwards most of the time, and occasionally falling into his shallow water dish. When he finally reaches the top he decides he wants off the shelter. So what does he do? He jumps off of it into his water dish.

Then the whole cycle begins again.

Box turtles have hard shells and when he’s banging around you can hear him through the whole house!

Shhhhhhhhh Spaz, you’ll wake Chris up. I’m surprised his girlfriend Myrtle never seems to wake up when he gets busy.
