Milkweed flower buds

November 29, 2007 by Tricia

Wordless Wednesday

Milkweed flower buds

I was going over some of my older photos and I came across this one of milkweed flower buds and thought it looked kind of interesting. If it was dried as it is, it would make a pretty dried flower for an arrangement.

Of course nothing is blooming in my garden now! We had our first snow last week and it’s become quite cool here over the last few days. Below zero or hovering around zero most days. I’m really not ready for winter to arrive yet … especially now that I have a puppy that I have to take out about ten times a day! LOL

And yes, I know my Wordless Wednesday post is a day late … blame the dog!

The Snow Cave

November 22, 2007 by Tricia

Wordless Wednesday

It’s supposed to snow here tonight. If it doesn’t snow at the very least we’re going to get freezing rain. Yuck!

This is a photo that I took a few years ago when we went to the beach area here in Toronto in January. Believe it or not it was a nice day and it was fun walking along the beach and by the water and discovering interesting formations like this snow cave that the water, snow and ice had created.

Sorry this post is so late. I’ve been feeling bad most of the week and all my posts have been delayed.

Winters not here and I’m already longing for Spring!

Look at that. It’s the first night that I’m aware of it being below zero and now all I can think of is how I can’t wait for spring to come! This is a photo of Toronto’s Beach area just off of Lakeshore boulevard in early spring. Pretty isn’t it?

I think part of the reason is that I was going over a number of my older photos yesterday and I was looking at so many pictures of spring flowers that, that started my pining for Spring.

Well … I may have something to help me get through winter, but the catch is that it will probably make me go out and face the cold more often. Ironic eh? I’ll tell you about it in another post later today.

Have a great Sunday!

My in your face husband

This weeks theme is I love Chris

Sometimes I don’t know why … but I love Chris.

Those of you who managed to meet him last week in Las Vegas probably won’t forget him anytime soon. When there’s a party he tries his best to be the life of it. I seriously think that I’m the only one in the world that gets to see calm Chris. He’s even hyper at work … but that keeps him going and keeps him happy.

He’s a lively guy!

Meeting Mr. Fab

November 14, 2007 by Tricia

Wordless Wednesday

One of the things I was looking forward to on my trip to Las Vegas was meeting the infamous Mr. Fab from Pointless Drivel. I’ve known him for close to two years and it was about time we finally met!

Here we are at Tattoo Alley after a few drinks …

Fab and Trish

He and my husband Chris got along famously. Two peas in a pod those two!

Some might think Mr. Fab is all fluff (and feathers)

Fab

But those of us that know him know he has a strong character – here he is proving how strong he is by lifting Colleen:

We also discovered that he likes to sing and dance, among other things! Here he is with Alli and Colleen

As you can probably tell we had a great time last Thursday night. We also had a few too many drinks, but that’s another story!

You can see more photos from my trip to Vegas at Flickr.
