Flyers, flyers go away!

September 28, 2007 by Tricia

Do you get a lot of flyers in your mail? We do!

We get flyers and junk mail that’s addressed to us, plus our post office has hired people to go around and only deliver flyers. It’s not just the mailmen making deliveries. No, some days we get two deliveries! What a waste. I swear that at least 80% of the mail and flyers we receive end up in our recycling box.

Now, since we’re having a provincial election the political parties are going door to door dropping off their flyers as well. You know those party platform flyers that really don’t tell you anything about what such and such parties platform will really be if they get elected? Yeah that stuff.

Today we got one for the local Communist party! Geez, that’s about as useful as getting flyers for Phoenix real estate! I mean really.

The stuff that I hate the most are the little sticky advertising banners that some people decide to stick on our screen door. They’re usually for moving or junk removal companies. Hey, I just cleaned the glass and now it’s got an ugly sticky spot.

Do you hate getting flyers too? Are they a waste of your time and of good paper?

Maybe we’ll have a ceiling over our heads this weekend

September 28, 2007 by Tricia

Well if I’m really really really lucky sometime this weekend I might finally get my tin ceiling put up in the living room dining room. Hey, I’ve only been waiting three years!

Gosh I hope we have enough tin ceiling tiles!

We have a good friend who’s a carpenter. He’s going to be bringing over all his special tools like his Ingersoll Rand air tools, and laser leveler and I’m sure that the ceiling will be up in no time. We’ve already got the 1 x 2″ up and leveled so it should be easy to put up the ceiling tiles.

Wow, I can’t wait. The whole room will look different! All we’ll have to do to complete the living room will be put the baseboards and molding on after that.

Maybe I will be able to decorate for Christmas this year.

Oops we did it again

September 27, 2007 by Tricia

Remember earlier I was talking about the Greek Restaurant that we ordered from earlier in the week? Well … we broke down and ordered from the restaurant again this evening.

This could become an expensive habit, but the food is soooooo good!

We got pretty much the same food that we got the other day, but this time we added a spinach and artichoke dip and oh that was good. Yum.

No we didn’t finish the food. We’ll have yummy leftovers again tomorrow night. Hopefully we’ll have our craving for Greek food out of our system for a while after that.

What did you have for dinner? Anything good?

Learn more about managing your financial situation

September 27, 2007 by Tricia

I am so happy that my husband and I seem to be in decent financial shape these days. Oh sure, we could be doing better, but when you consider that I’ve been stuck at home due to my Crohn’s for almost two years the fact that I can say that we don’t have financial woes is pretty good.

We’ve had financial problems in the past though, and having been in that situation in the past I know how easy it is to get into trouble. All you need is an illness, the loss of a job or a very bad spending habit and the next thing you know your bills are overdue and credit agencies are calling or knocking on your door. It’s stressful!

If you are having financial troubles right now or if you think that you might have a bad credit history and want to check your credit rating you should visit the creditloan.com website. There’s lots of great information there.

You can learn how to repair your credit rating, how to apply for Bad Credit Car Loans, credit cards, or even learn about debt consolidation, home loans, mortgages, personal loans and student loans.

Not only can you get information on all the types of loans or financial situations that I just mentioned, but you can apply for several types of loans and credit cards right on the creditloan.com website.

This website also stresses how important it is to be aware of identity theft. Did you know that occasionally requesting a credit report may help you catch Identity theft early?

Visit the Credit Loan website. I know you’ll find some information that you can use!
