Trouble getting some reviews done!

May 27, 2007 by Tricia

Oh dear. I’m doing some work for some advertisers today, on this site and another, and I’m having trouble submitting my finished links! The jobs are due today so this is a real problem!

Other than putting in a support ticket with the company I have no idea what else I can do! I may lose the job! ARghhhh! Well, I guess I’ll write my posts anyway and see what happens.

BTW one of the problems I’m having, a different problem, is with P direct. I sent a thank you note to one of the advertisers who requested that I do a post for them. In this note I told them that I’d be “accepting” their offer in a moment. Well, I didn’t realize that using the “negotiate” button would make the accept offer button disappear. If you are the advertiser that requested a review, please go back to Pay/PerP0st and I guess, say yes to my negotiation, which as I said was only a thank you note, and then I can accept the offer and finish the work for you.

Exclusive deals and savings with Home Depots Garden Club Newsletter

May 26, 2007 by Tricia

I’ll bet that some of the people that read this blog are gardeners? Am I right? Or perhaps you might not call yourself a gardener but you do have houseplants, and perhaps a few potted plants on your balcony, patio or in your yard?

Ok, well then, perhaps you might be interested in signing up for Home Depots Garden club Newsletter?

When you sign up you’ll have access to exclusive offers and coupon deals. I love a deal so that alone makes the Garden Club Newsletter sound pretty good to me, but wait there’s more …

Sign up for the newsletter and you’ll also get information about Gardening news, regional gardening reports, gardening tips and a lot more.

I haven’t received a newsletter yet, but I’m pretty sure that the Garden Club Newsletter will contain exclusives and deals not just on plants and supplies related to garden plants but probably on equipment used in and around the garden and yard. So, even if you aren’t a gardener you might still be interested in the newsletter because of the deals that you might get on lawn and yard related equipment.

Sign up now if you’re interested!

I had a hard time deciding which photo to post today. I’ve been taking a lot of photos of the flowers in my garden and many of the photos are quite lovely.

I decided to post this delicate pink tulip. It was nearing the end of it’s lifespan when I took this photo but it’s floppy petals just looked so attractive that I ended up taking about 20 different photos at various angles.

Do you ever do that when you are photographing something? Take 10 or 20+ photos just to be sure you’ve taken the best photo possible?

Planning vacations and keeping expenses down

May 26, 2007 by Tricia

Have you ever been to London, England? I’ve never been, but I’d love to go for a vacation some time within the next year or two. I’d enjoy going to Piccadilly Square, seeing what Buckingham Palace looks like with my own eyes, and probably attending some of the live theatre productions.

I know that some of my readers live in England. Perhaps if I ever do get around to booking a holiday in London you could tell me what sites are “Must See” places to visit.

I do know that I won’t have a problem finding a cheap hotel in London, because I’ve visited and already bookmarked a site called easyhotel.com where I know I’ll be able to pre-book a nice hotel room easily and for a good price.

Finding cheap hotels in London or anywhere in the UK is important to me, because while I know that I’d like to stay in nice hotels when I do go to visit London, I certainly don’t want to spend the majority of my money on lodgings. The Canadian and US dollar are much lower than that of the Pound. I think the pound is about 2.5 times higher in value than our money, which means that when we do eventually go to the UK and perhaps elsewhere in Europe we need to be aware of how much things cost ahead of time.

When the time comes I’ll just go to the EasyHotel.com website and locate their section for cheap hotels London and book our rooms. You can set the search to find hotels near particular areas so if I know what sites we’d like to visit before hand, we’ll be able to get a hotel that’s in that area. That will save on the cost of transportation too because either we won’t have to travel too far by cab, or public transit, or we’ll actually be able to walk to specific locations.

I think I’m going to talk to my brothers wife. Every year they go off to either some exotic location or a new continent that they’ve never visited before. The begin planning their new trip pretty much upon returning from the last trip. Well, it’s my brothers wife that does the majority of that planning. She’s good too. Their trips always seem fascinating and she always finds good deals on travel, and hotels or other lodgings.

If we want to go to London I’m sure she’ll have some good tips on what to see and some idea’s as to how we can cut costs.

If she gives me any really good tips that could be applied to just about any type of vacation I’ll be sure to make a post about it at some point.

Our neighbors humorous voice

May 25, 2007 by Tricia

Oh dear!

I was about to go outside since my husband is kindly watering the flowerbeds at the front of our house, but he has a few of our neighbors circling around him.

Our neighbors are really nice, but one of the guys that’s out there now is the kind that if you start talking to him he’ll never leave. Somewhat like my husband!

I love this guys voice and laugh too.

Have you ever watched the animated series “American Dad”? It’s on on Sunday evenings. Well, this guy talks and laughs just like roger the alien on American dad. He’s a really nice guy, but every time I’m around him I think about roger the alien and I’m sure I’m smirking at him as he talks, or worse laughs!

Sometimes I have to go in the house, or to another room just to let the laughter out.
