This weeks Photo theme is Annoying

Momma dog

Now this would be annoying.

You’re just lying there relaxing, maybe having a nap, one of your favorite doggy dreams of you running in a field chasing a rabbit perhaps, and then to your surprise, you wake up to someone elses kids making themselves at home and having themselves a kick ass snack.

Honestly … Some peoples kids! Geesh!

Please Only list your name if you have a recent Photo Scavenger hunt post. Non-participants links, or participants who link and run will be removed:

I was interviewed by BlogTO

December 16, 2006 by Tricia

I completely forgot to mention that my interview was posted over at Blog TO. It’s a blog about all things Toronto and it’s fairly popular. They have a section called Blogerati and they regularly do interviews with fellow Toronto bloggers in that area.

I was pleased to have been contacted by them for an interview. I managed to plug a few of the bloggers that I like to visit in my interview as well. Check out the interview to see if I mentioned you.

Oh and in case I do happen to get some visitors from BlogTo. First of welcome to my humble little blog, and second – would you like to join the Toronto Bloggers Blogroll? Or if you live too far outside of Toronto .. like maybe Nova Scotia or British Columbia perhaps then you might be interested in Joining the I am Canadian Blogroll? They’re free to join for all Toronto or Canadian bloggers (even Canadians living in other Countries right now too).

Free greeting cards online

December 16, 2006 by Tricia

Have you managed to send out all your holiday and Christmas cards to your friends and family? If you did, did you remember you Internet friends? If you are like me, I’m sure you’ve made some friend on the internet and while you might not know their home addresses you probably know their email addies. Why not send them free Christmas cards ? Good idea eh?

Egreeting cards has a post up right now about the top 10 free Christmas cards. You read the post, select the greeting cards that you enjoy and send them free to your friends, family, and even co-workers right then and there, and all for absolutely no charge. If you like the cards once you begin to browse through the site you might be interested in signing up for a subscription which will entitle you to send an unlimited amount of cards throughout the whole year. Membership is just $13.99 and it begins with a 30 day free trial. Once you are signed up as a member you’ll also find a great feature that allows you to schedule card deliveries in advance. Perhaps you know that your brothers birthday is coming up in March, but you’re going to be away on holidays, or you’re afraid that you might forget the date as it grows closer? Simply pre-schedule a card delivery now while it’s on your mind and you don’t even have to think about it again. Well, except hopefully to call your brother on his birthday I hope.

What the … ?

Spam!

Yesterday I kept deleting spam that Akismet had caught for this blog. I didn’t keep track but it was coming in fast – 10 here, 30 there, 46 and so on. I’m sure I caught over 200 spam messages on this blog alone yesterday. The others were hopping too, but not anywhere near as much as this blog.

Today … I moderated a comment on my photoblog. While I was behind the scenes on that blog I noticed that I had 339 spam messages waiting for me to decide what to do with. Have you ever gone through that much spam on your blog at once to figure out if any are real messages? Then I checked my other blogs. Four more of them had spam too. I came up with a grand total of 479 spam messages today from 7 a.m. ’til 3 p.m on a total of 5 blogs.

I get enough spam in my email. I don’t need it in my blogs too!

Cease and Desist would you.

Learn how to raise your credit rating

December 15, 2006 by Tricia

I’ve just been introduced to a website that can help you raise your credit score by up to 200 points. The site has apparently even been discussed in the Wall Street Journal. Seasoned Trades offers a five step program that will help you raise your credit level within 90 days. This could be extremely helpful for anyone who’s maxed out their credit cards and ended up having them canceled as a result, or defaulted on payments or perhaps even filled for bankruptcy at one point in the past.

I know that I could probably have used some of this advice a number of years ago. Way back when I was just starting my jewelry business I was so short on cash I lived on my credit cards and totally maxed them out. Of course I couldn’t pay the minimum payments either so I ended up with canceled cards and big bills. It was terrible. And even though I hadn’t used a credit card in 15 years or so and had paid all my past bills many years before – my past poor credit history came back to haunt me when we were purchasing this house. I had to prove that I’d paid American Express something like 15 years before. I didn’t have the paperwork to back up my claim anymore. They said that I’d never paid and that they’d been trying to contact me for years. Odd … I hadn’t moved in that whole time, if they’d really wanted to get in touch with me I think they could easily have by sending me a letter. Funny how things like that work. Anyway, before we could get approved for our mortgage I ended up having to pay off American Express AGAIN. I swear I will never use one of their credit cards again and I’m very careful about how we use our credit cards now.

Anyway, If I’d known more about correcting my credit history at that time none of what I’ve just told you would have happened. I would have known to check my credit report shortly after paying off my overdue bills to be sure that everything was listed correctly.

Seasoned Trades can help you NOT fall into some of the problems that I experience and the information on the site can help you fix your credit rating with their methods. Visit the site and learn how to improve your credit rating.
