When it’s cold out everyone wears a coat!

This weeks theme is Important

It’s really cold out! It’s -15 Celsius with the wind chill (5 F) so keeping ourselves and our puppy warm when we venture outside has become very important!

Unfortunately she doesn’t really love her coat. She’s trying to figure out how to wiggle out of it in the picture below:

I think that’s in part because it doesn’t fit her all that well.

This brand has really long neck and abdominal straps … long enough that the straps are so big I can’t really even Velcro them together as I should be able to do! I’ll have to do a little sewing magic to the straps to make it fit better I guess.

When Chris took her for a walk in her coat she held one of the neck straps in her mouth and apparently walked really nicely. Perhaps we’ve learned a valuable trick? The next time we take her out in nicer weather ie when she’s not wearing the coat, we’ll have to let her bring a toy with her. Perhaps that will at least keep her from eating leaves, grass, dirt, rocks, stones and garbage along the way!

She’s been sleepy all day for some reason. She’s also had a lot of diarrhea this week – just when it had been getting better! I hope she’s not sick.

Here’s a photo of my sleeping pup. She fell asleep on Chris’ knee:

She’s so cute when she’s asleep!

I hope your dog gets to feeling better! We’re dealing with sick kids over here, so not fun! Have a great weekend!

Awww.. she’s so adorable while sleeping. I guessed she felt more comfortable that way and I don’t think she like pink 😛

    Mine are up…

Well it is quite pink with a fur (fake I assume) collar, so maybe she’s already developing her own important sense of fashion LOL — seriously, my post includes a dog so I understand how difficult it can be do get those coats to fit.

Hm. Maybe it isn’t the straps that bother her . . . perhaps it’s the color? Years ago, I had a poodle; and she positively refused to wear this little red sweater my grandmother had knitted for her. She was happy, however, to wear a vitually identical white one!

    Wow…5F there…and I think it’s cold here at 20F.

Midnight just keeps getting cuter each day. I’m sorry that she might be sick again. I hope it’s something that you’ll can heal soon.

    Have a great week.

p.s. I noticed there’s no snow on the ground!!

YES! She really is soooo cute when she sleeps. *giggles* Oh, she is very alike my former dog. This makes me remember him – so naturally I smile all the time looking at her!

So, I really can relate to your worries for her too. *sigh* There we comes to the difficult part of having a dog, when they get ill. It’s like when kids are sick…

Too cute! And definitely something important!

By the way, some script you have on here is preventing me from loading the pages correctly. Be careful with that!

So cute! I can see where a coat would be important where you live, but you sure won’t find any dogs in coats down here in south Florida! =) Thanks for stopping by Pollywog Creek to comment, Tricia. Hope you are having a week that is filled with all things important!
