Annual Celosia in the garden

This weeks theme is RED

spear like flower

I love growing these annual celosia flowers in my garden each year. They’re short plants, maybe 5 to 6 inches in height, but with their vibrant colors they pack a punch in the garden.

Now that we have a dog that will be sharing our garden with us we’ll have to remove a few of our plants that are known to be extremely toxic. I have no idea if celosia is toxic or not. I guess that will be another one I’ll have to look up.

Never heard or even saw a celosia flower before…they sure are beautiful and stand out really well…I might think they are toxic just by how bright they are but idk. I need to get some greenery in my life…just feel better around plants/nature
