I haven’t heard anything about the contaminated cat and dog food problem for a while. Does anyone know if they ever figured out what was in the pet food that was causing them to die?
I don’t have a dog or cat, but I do have pets that occasionally eat dog food. Yep … it’s my box turtles. They are omnivores after all. We feed them everything from fruit and veggies, to bugs – yes I feed my turtles bugs like earthworms and mealworms; fish, and occasionally we’ll get a can of low fat Premium dog food for them.
Trouble is, we haven’t purchased any dog food for the turtles for months because of the pet food scare. If the food is safe now I’d like to give the turtles a little treat.
Suppose to be over, but you never know. I been using Orijen Dry and Homestyle Select. They are the only two brand that i trust. I would suggest to stay away from generic pet food until things really start to change.
