Xianz Watch – a new family friendly online video service

February 12, 2007 by Tricia

A new site called Xianz Watch has just launched.

This new video site is a safe alternative to YouTube in that, just like Youtube, it allows it’s members to view, upload and share videos, but with a nice twist. What you’ll find on Xianz is family friendly videos.

Xianz supports over 20 different video formats which should make uploading new videos a snap. There’s also a video messaging system that will allow members to communicate with each other and mark one another as buddies. There are already 100’s of videos on the site and by the end of February they expect to have several thousand videos for their members to view.

Xianz.com’s membership is growing daily, and it’s currently the largest Christian Social network in the world.

If you’re tired of repeatedly running into offensive material on the other video based sites, or logging in to find offensive messages on your account, switch over to this new family friendly alternative. I’m sure you’ll be pleased.

In a rutt?

February 12, 2007 by Tricia

I’ve been in a funk lately. I’m going to bed too lately because I’ve been in pain, and as a result of going to bed late, I’m getting up later and later. It’s a vicious cycle.

I can’t wait until the weather begins to get better. I keep telling myself that no matter how I’m feeling that once the weather is warm enough that I don’t have to dress up like the abdominal snowman to go outside that I’ll get out and get some fresh air, and exercise each day.

I’m sure that raising my activity level and just getting out of the house will help me reset my “go to bed” clock.

The weather is going to be cold, and by Wednesday stormy here in Toronto, so I don’t think that I’ll be able to get out much this week. Well, maybe I can convince myself to shovel some snow if we do get some. No, I think that it will be about two weeks before I can start getting outside regularly.

In the meantime- do any of my readers have any other ideas as to how I can turn my bad sleep / pain cycle around?

Work from home site has current listings to help you make money

February 12, 2007 by Tricia

As many of you know I’m pretty much working from home while I wait out my illness and hope to get well enough to return to work sometime in the future.

As a result of being dependent upon a “Work from Home” income I’ve been keeping an eye on any new opportunities, or sites that have information that can lead me towards better, and easier ways of making money from home.

That’s one reason why I wanted to take to you today about a new site that I’ve only just discovered called “Work From Home Facts”. Upon visiting the site you feel like the writer is talking to you. It had a warmth and openness to the site right from the first couple of paragraphs, unlike a site like therichjerk.com which did not appeal to me as much simply because of the style of writing.

The Work from Home Facts site is laid out in an easy to use manner. The left sidebar has listings for various categories of work one can do at home- from Home Employment (freelance writing etc), paid surveys, creating a home business, or writing articles for pay. There is a wide assortment of ideas, helpful tips and even listings to help you get started in the many work at home opportunities that are available. The site also promotes a couple of E-books that will teach you how to increase your earnings on the internet, but unlike many of the other work from home or make money on the internet sites that are out there these days, “Work from Home Facts” truly seems to try to help you get started.

I’ve bookmarked this site and I’m sure it will be one of the sites that I visit regularly for ideas, and to see what new work from home opportunities might be available to me.

I know that many of my readers are also interested in making some money while blogging or maintaining a website. Please visit the site and let me know what you think of it as well.

The Red Lily

I’m looking forward to seeing Red Lilies and all the other flowers I grow in my garden soon. Yes I know it will be several months before this happens, but I can still look forward to it can’t I?

The red in this photo is a bit off, perhaps a little too vibrant. I took this photo a couple of years ago with my older Pentax Digital camera. That camera never quite got reds and oranges right. Now that I have a newish digital camera (Sony Cybershot DSC-H5) I know I’ll get some great shots of my red and orange flowers this summer. It does just fine with all colours.

I hope that everyone is having a nice weekend. Valentines day is only three days away – perhaps you’re doing something nice today since Valentines is during the work week?

Gardeners, Plant and Nature lovers can join in every Sunday, visit As the Garden Grows for more information.

Oh my! Would you look at that couch! I wonder if that was done in a day, or if it took the dog days or months to get the couch to look that awful!

Baddddd Dogggggy!

Broken windows, Broken home?

Smart cats. That’s one way to have a view of the world isn’t it?

I wonder what they are doing in a home with such a badly broken window though? Hope they’re cared for properly.
