The Red Lily

I’m looking forward to seeing Red Lilies and all the other flowers I grow in my garden soon. Yes I know it will be several months before this happens, but I can still look forward to it can’t I?

The red in this photo is a bit off, perhaps a little too vibrant. I took this photo a couple of years ago with my older Pentax Digital camera. That camera never quite got reds and oranges right. Now that I have a newish digital camera (Sony Cybershot DSC-H5) I know I’ll get some great shots of my red and orange flowers this summer. It does just fine with all colours.

I hope that everyone is having a nice weekend. Valentines day is only three days away – perhaps you’re doing something nice today since Valentines is during the work week?

Gardeners, Plant and Nature lovers can join in every Sunday, visit As the Garden Grows for more information.

That’s lovely! I planted a lot of bulbs this fall, but with the weather so screwy, who knows what will happen.

Really beautiful; we love lilys and love the perfume of the oriental ones. Not sure what we will be doing on Valentines Day but lots of cuddles will be in included.

Wow, yes, that sure is RED. I love red flowers, the lighten up the area so much. I so long for the springtime!!!! *sigh*

I too have noticed that cameras have difficulties to take shots of red flowers. I’ve tried several cameras with no luck. I don’t know how it is with my new big digital SLR though. We’ll see later on!

I want to buy a new “point-and-shoot” one too since my Minolta Dimage Xt is getting worned out… *lol*

I really love flowers and this one is so beautiful that it looks more like an artificial plastic flower than a real one. 🙂
