EPAY offers universal payment system for merchants and clients

June 17, 2007 by Tricia

If you have an ecommerce website it might be worth your while to visit EPAY. With EPAY your online clients can pay for goods or services with virtual credit cards. It’s very much like the service offered by Paypal, however EPAY allows instant transfers from both EPAY and non EPAY members in over 196 countries. It truly is a universal online payment system.

Is it a secure and reliable service? Yes it is. They have two independent security companies that scan their system every day. They also state that they will never block or freeze accounts. EPAY also offers 128 bit protection, password and digital signatures, IP protection and many other forms of secure service.

If you registered with EPAY as a merchant you’ll be able to accept payments from EPAY members in both EUR and USD funds. If by chance your clients are not members of EPAY that’s not a problem. Your clients could pay into your account with a bank transfer, pecunix or e-gold.

It’s also possible for both businesses and clients to use Virtual credit cards, Virtual debit cards, send SMS and make SMS payments, as well as send invoices by email or to any mobile phone worldwide.

Obviously I’m not a merchant, but I think that I will sign up for an EPAY account to try it out. I mean if I find an online store that I’d like to purchase an item from the more ways that I’m able to pay the better. Plus, as an EPAY member I could easily apply for one of their new premium debit cards. EPAY debit cards are MasterCards and they work online like a credit card, plus they all work in POS and ATM.

I wouldn’t even need to provide a credit history if I applied because anyone in over 200 countries can apply for an EPAY premium debit card without a credit check. I’d also be able to do my cash withdrawals using the premium debit card.

I like the versatility of EPAY. It sounds like it would be a valuable online payment system for merchants and their clients. EPAY offers SMS service, email payments, various options for funding, withdrawal and transfer, merchant tools, and cards. I could be wrong but I don’t think any of the other online payment services offer so many different options to their members.

Think all of that sounds great? Well, there’s one more thing I have to tell you. EPAY also has an affiliate program. EPAY members can refer friends or merchants and earn a 10% commission from all transaction fees of new members that they’ve referred. Sounds good to me!

Free piano lessons newsletter

June 13, 2007 by Tricia

If you’ve always admired others who have the ability to play a musical instrument or perhaps have always wanted to learn how to play the piano, now’s your chance.

Playpiano.com is a website where you can sign up for the Free piano lessons email newsletter for adults on “Piano Chords & Chord Progressions”. This email newsletter is sent to you for no charge every five days or so. All in all you’ll get a total of 101 issues.

When I visited over the website for more information it looks like you’ll be taught how to read chords first and foremost since they are the basis of all music. If you understand chords you should be able to play anything.

If you enjoy the free piano lessons that you’ll get through each newsletter installment you might decide that you want more in depth lessons. If so, you can purchase full piano courses for adults on DVD and CD.

If you do well with your lessons you’ll soon be entertaining your family and friends. Perhaps you can have your own musical entertainment nights?

Visit the site to get more information.

Savvy shoppers should enter the Cart Me Away contest!

June 13, 2007 by Tricia

Who wants to win a contest? Not just any contest. It’s a shopping contest.

Ah I see I’ve got your attention.

Well if you enjoy shopping I think you’ll really like the Cart Me Away contest that Shop.com is going to be holding in July. You could win a $1000 shopping spree at Shop.com!

This is actually part two of the Cart Me Away contest. The contest is said to be a cross between Sex in the City and the popular game show The Price is Right.

I think this sounds like a really fun contest. I don’t know about you, but when it starts on July 1st I’m going to be sure to enter.

I don’t know the exact details of Cart Me Away 2, but I do know that it will begin on July 1st and end on July 28th. Weeks one and two of the Cart Me Away contest are called Bermuda and The Book Club Story.

I imagine that the new contest will be similar to the first Cart Me Away contest that was held earlier this year. In the first contest participants were given a story line to follow with scenarios such as Throwing a dinner party, Romantic French getaway, Shopping for a Hawaiian Paradise, and Escaping to New York. Sounds interesting doesn’t it?

If the second part of this contest is like the first, you’ll be given a daily shopping budget and then you’ll have to shop for items that match that spending budget right down to the cent. If you’re a savvy shopper and your items add up to the correct amount you’ll be entered into a one thousand dollar shopping spree at shop.com and win your shopping offers.

Bookmark the Cartmeaway.com website and be sure to put a memo on your calendar reminding you that the contest starts on July 1st. Who wouldn’t want to win a $1000 shopping spree? I know I’d love to!

What’s the Big Deal?

June 7, 2007 by Tricia

Remember a few weeks ago, ok, back in April, I was talking about a “big deal”? Well, if you happen to read my other sites you would have seen evidence of my new advertising deal on As the Garden Grows first.

This site, and As the Garden Grows have been accepted into the Glam Network. What does that mean?

Well, the two sites are listed as Glam Network blogs. I believe that Glam has only accepted about 300 blogs into their network at this time so I’m quite honored that not one, but two of my sites are listed there. The sites have been part of the Glam network for over a month now.

Millions of people visit the Glam network each month in order to get the latest news about fashion and beauty related trends and sales, take quizzes, read about celebrities, enter contests, and read about issues related to women that are written by women. Obviously this is a very female oriented network and it’s fast becoming the top womens network on the net. You can even join the site, create a profile and a blog if you choose, and interact with other Glam Network members. I’m listed as dragonden over there if you join.
Can you see why I thought it was a big deal that my sites are listed there?

Not only are my sites listed, but the rss feeds for my sites are also listed so if someone clicks on my listing on the Glam network they can read my latest posts, subscribe to my rss feed, and hopefully end up visiting the site to leave me a comment or at least view the rest of the site. I can also submit some of my articles each week and if chosen they’ll be promoted on the front page of glam for a week.

As part of my association with Glam, I’ve also been accepted into their advertising network. See the ads in the right sidebar? What do you think of them?

I think this site is read equally by men and women, whereas the ads that you’ll see in the right sidebar are geared more towards women than men, so I don’t expect that everyone will love them. However, as ads go, I think that these are of a very high quality.

Keep an eye on the ads because you’ll learn of new contests and promotions through them. I’ve noticed that sometimes that ads promote new movies coming out in theaters or ones coming out on DVD too. I’ve also found that some of the ads are interactive. There’s one for Scarlet Johansson’s active wear that lets you see the items of clothing better as you move your mouse over the ad.

What I hope to get out of being part of the Glam network is an increase in readership. That would be fantastic!

I do hope that some of you will explore the Glam Network as there are some great articles there, other great blogs and tons of tips and deals.

Now, if I could get accepted into blogads that would be cool too.

This is the smallest scanner I’ve ever seen

June 5, 2007 by Tricia

Do you remember how when scanners first started coming out they were quite large? I’ve still got my first scanner and while I don’t have it’s exact measurements handy it was almost two feet long by close to a foot wide. That’s huge compared to this new Duplex scanner that I just got a good look at.

The Duplex Scanner – Scanshell 3000DN is perhaps the smallest scanner that I’ve ever seen. It only weighs 17oz/475g which is just over a pound. I think it would be perfect for anyone who either has a small workspace, or for those who take their work on the road or travel for business regularly.

Not only is it small and therefore highly portable, it’s also a high-speed duplex scanner. It can simultaneously capture both sides of a document while scanning. It also offers high image quality capture.

The scanner uses a high speed USB 2.0 standard interface so no external power supply is necessary.

Honestly I can imagine people who’s work takes them out of the office frequently – realtors, contractors, sales agents and so on, using this new Scanshell scanner.

Check it out!
