Get a better job with a language training course

January 17, 2007 by Tricia

I’ve just come across a site that my readers might be interested in if you are either planning a vacation to a Country where the language spoken isn’t one that you know well, or if you are planning on working in a Country where having a second or third language might be to your advantage.

Travelers, nurses, doctors and engineers might be interested in visiting the Language Trainers website. They offer courses for people with no previous knowledge of a language – ie in the case of someone visiting a foreign Country for an extended vacation. I know I’d love to have at least a basic understanding of a Countries native tongue if I was going to visit a Country for a month or more.

They also offer Business Language Courses for people who are moving to other Countries for work purposes. That’s why I mentioned professions such as Nursing, Doctors and Engineers earlier as all of these professionals are often needed for work in the Middle East, and Europe and knowing the language of the people with whom you are working is very important.

The Language Trainers not only offer Business Language Courses. They also offer exam preparation Courses for people who need to prove knowledge and training in a particular language for their employer or in order to enter University. Business courses are also available to those who need to learn a second or third language for their workplace.

Courses are offered in many different languages. Please visit the Language Trainers for more information and pricing.

India’s broadband forum

January 12, 2007 by Tricia

My readers from India might be interested in learning about the India broadband forum. I’ve just been to visit it and I can tell you that if you are looking for information on any many of the top broadband internet services in India this would be a great forum to go to in order to learn more about your ISP.

There are a number of forum categories ranging from ones that discuss specific Indian broadband ISP’s such as Airtel Broadband, one of the leading broadband providers in India, and Reliance Broadband – another popular ISP both discussed in the DSL forum, to other forum topics such as Cable Internet services, general discussions, News and Views, Computer Technology and of course a General forum where members can talk about most anything they wish to discuss.

The forums appear to be fairly busy and there’s a good sized member base. I’m sure that if you were looking for information on how to speed up your internet connection or even how to hook it up yourself you would be able to find some on the forums to talk you through it or to give you good advice.

Send large files to your clients with Ease

January 11, 2007 by Tricia

As some of you may know I’m in the process of setting up a website design blog. I’m almost ready to reveal this site to the world. However, even though my own site is not ready to show you I must tell you that I’ve been working behind the scenes on some of your favorite bloggers websites. Take Mr. Fabulous for example at his site Pointless Drivel. I’ve done some work for that site, and I’m working on another one of his sites too. I’ve had some delays lately and he’s been very patient with me, thankfully. I am happy to tell you, and him, that work on his newest site will be complete within the next few days.

I’ve actually been doing graphic arts and photography for close to 12 years now. Most of the work that I’ve done in the past has been free of charge, but alas, I must earn some money at some point so please watch for my new sites announcement. Check out my photography blog Breath of Life for examples of my photography.

The work that I do involves a lot of graphics and that of course means working with files that are of a very large size. I send them back and forth to my clients for approval before I finalize them and make them a more manageable size for their websites.

I’ve come across a site that might make it easier for my clients to view and as a result approve the work that I’m doing for them. The site is called Send This File and it allows people that typically need to send large files to clients the ability to send large files with ease.

The site is super easy to use. Just register for a free account. Upload some of your files, then select an address for the person that you’d like to send the file to, select the file(s) that you’d like to send, and then click the send this file button. The recipient will receive an email with a link to the file in their email. The person can then download the file onto their computer with ease from the Send This file site.

The free account offers members – Unlimited files size, no limit on monthly uploads, shared bandwidth and storage space, your recipients have three days to pick up files you’ve sent them, Up to three downloads per file, and when a file can’t be delivered an email is sent to the sender to notify them of the problem, plus a few more helpful features.

Members who decide to purchase an account will have a choice of four paid packages ranging from a lite plan for the individual user all the way to the Enterprise plan which I presume would be best for businesses.

The paid plans include all of the features of the free accounts plus unrestricted bandwidth, unlimited storage space, 6 day pick up time, unlimited downloads on each file, 128-bit SSL encryption, and priority response via chat or email when the member needs help with the system or their account, plus many more features.

If you find that you send large files on a regular basis, or would like to have the ability to send even larger files please consider visiting Send this file to see what they have to offer.

Staying Safe in our home

January 11, 2007 by Tricia

As some of you might remember I’ve talked about Chris and I getting some form of home security for our home. We first started discussing it when we purchased our house- in part because our home insurance rates will drop a bit, and also because my husband is/ was very paranoid about break ins. Lately I’ve become a bit more nervous about break-ins or rather home invasions since there have been a few occurrences in my general area in the last few months.

So, I’ve been looking at ADT Home Security Systems and I came across a system at ADT Security that looks pretty good to me. The company has a good reputation, and their home security products seem to do everything that I’d want out of a home security system.

ADT security is actually a home security service, they offer their home security system free, but you need to sign on to their service to get the free system and all the benefits of having a security service keeping an eye on your home.

One thing that I like is that you not only get home protection with the alarm system but you also get fire a built in fire alarm system that notifies the security service if the fire alarm is triggered. This is an excellent idea. They’re already sending the fire department to your home leaving you to get your family out of the home while help is already on it’s way. There is also a police response service as well – if there’s trouble in your home, or an alarm is triggered the police are notified by ADT.

They also offer a money back guarantee if you believe their alarm system doesn’t work with 100% effectiveness. Plus you can customize your security needs with ADT in order to make sure that you have the home security system and service that you need.

My parent had a similar system in their home and they loved it. I really think that a full home security system and service such as this is what we’ll most likely decide to get to protect our home.

Beautiful Hawaii property rentals

January 10, 2007 by Tricia

Oh my gosh. You know how I’ve been longing for a vacation don’t you? Well I can’t take one right now, so I’m doing the next best thing by visiting exotic sites online and day dreaming about them. Well I found one that makes me drool. It’s a site that features Hawaii Vacation Rentals and now I’m just dying to go to Hawaii.

Gebhart Properties has vacation rentals on the “big island” and on maui. These are premiere resorts and ocean front homes that are being put up for rent. The resorts and rental homes are just lovely, with ocean front views, spacious living areas and they are even decorated with beautiful artwork.

Each property that Gebhart properties rents out is unique. Some have gourmet kitchens, another is only 30 feet from the ocean. If you’ve been thinking of a vacation in Hawaii or even moving their temporarily why don’t you visit the Gebhart website and have a look at their lovely properties.

You just have to promise me, since I can’t get away for a vacation right now, that if you do go you’ll send me a note and let me know if it’s as jaw dropping gorgeous as I think it is.
