Paidbycash card works just like a credit card for online purchases

February 15, 2007 by Tricia

Readers, you’re going to love this. A new service has just started that will allow anyone without a credit card to pay cash for online services. The new service is called PaidByCash and I imagine that almost everyone is going to find this to be one of the most useful new online services to come out in the last decade.

PaidbyCash works very much like a credit card, but it’s not a credit card. It’s a prepaid virtual Mastercard. The value of the card is limited to the amount of money that you load into the account, and it’s accepted by virtually every online merchant.

It’s easy to activate your account with PaidbyCash. Just register on the site with your name, address, telephone number and email. No financial information is exchanged since this is not a credit card.

You can load your account with up to $350 at a time and you can make multiple purchases with that single load.

This new card will open the door to many consumers who do not have, or possibly do not qualify for credit cards. Now they will be able to use just about any online service to which they had previously been excluded.

Services such as online games should expect an increase in business now that PaidbyCash has arrived, as I’m sure many gamers that were limited in their choice of sites to play on due to not having a credit card will now be playing on all of the sites that had required a credit card payment prior to Paidbycash arrival on the scene.

Unfortunately this program is only available to those with a valid U.S. address, but do keep an eye on this service if you live outside the US. Perhaps as it’s popularity increases it will expand it’s services to more areas.

I used to play the piano

February 15, 2007 by Tricia

When I was growing up in Ottawa we had an old Baldwin Piano in our home. I’m not sure if my brothers ever had piano lessons but I know that my sister and I both had lessons for several years.

I think that offering music lessons to a child is a good idea. You never know what hidden talents your child might have until you explore them. You might have a musical genius in your home and not even be aware of it.

My husband is like that. He became interested in guitar when he was just 9 years old, and lucky for him his parents listened to his wishes and they started him on guitar lessons. He is a musical genius as far as I’m concerned and many others agree with me. He can play 13 different instruments!

Me on the other hand? Well, the piano lessons were fun, and I just loved our piano. I suppose I loved antiques even as a child. (yes I was an odd kid) However I never really did catch on to the piano all that well. I can play a tune but it’s certainly not inspiring as it is when my husband plays.

If you’d like to take music lessons or start your child with some music lessons why don’t you visit ClickForLessons.com. They’ve been in business for 16 months and in no time at all have become the nations largest site for matching great teachers with good students. They match people who desire music, singing, dance, art, acting and language lessons. Give them a try.

Big changes in Mens fashions this year!

February 13, 2007 by Tricia

I was just reading an article about some interesting news in men’s fashions at Belisi Blog: Men’s fashion heads in a new direction. I think that all men who are trying to make a name for themselves in business or otherwise develop their fashion sense in order succeed should read this article.

It highlights the up and coming fashion trends for 07. Mens fashions are going to have sleeker styling, narrow lines and even geometric patterns. The colors will be bolder and a smattering of prints will be included in the new designs as well.

You must see the photos of some of the up and coming styles to get an idea of what I’m talking about here.

It sounds like it will be a fun year for mens fashions, as the new styles will either be form of retro look from the 60’s to the 80’s, or a futuristic modern look. There’s even talk that leggings are coming back, but this time for men! Now that I can’t imagine, but I suppose some men might find that news interesting.

I really like the long jacket featured at the end of the article. It’s very retro looking, but sleek in design. I can see that style catching on easily.

The blog itself, “Sharp by Design” was created by Belisi Fashions. The blog was created for the progressive urban male who has a desire to learn about fashion staples, and to stay in tune with emerging fashion trends in casual and business attire.

Now If I could only get my husband to read the Belisi Sharp by Design blog I’d be all set. I mean, Chris is a fantastic husband, but he could turn his fashion sense up a notch.

Interesting body jewelry

February 9, 2007 by Tricia

I just visited a site that I think several of my readers might be interested in. I know that not everyone has body jewelery, or rather body piercings, but I’ll bet that almost everyone that reads Tricia’s Musings knows someone that does.

Which is why I thought I’d tell you about the Freshtrends.com website. It specializes in selling jewelry for people with body piercings. Hey – Valentines is coming up, you might still have time to purchase a really cool gift for someone you love who happens to perhaps need some new Belly Button Rings. They have some very nice designs and the prices are reasonable too.

What I like about the site is that it’s laid out in a very user friendly manner. I also found that if you are looking at a particular section where various pieces of body jewelry are displayed that you can see exactly how many of each item are left. I like it when sites do that because if I’m just browsing a site and I find something that I think I might want to buy and it says that there are only two items left, well then, I know I’d better make my purchase right then and there or else I’ll have to wait until the item is in stock again.

Visit freshtrends.com to see their huge selection of body jewelry from every single type of body piercing jewelry that you can imagine to toe rings and even temporary tattoos.

Trying to figure out what gift to get Chris for Valentines

February 8, 2007 by Tricia

If I had more money I’d probably hang out at Coupon Chief at least once a week, finding great deals and items to purchase.

I am going to have a look at the site in the next day or so and see if I can find something nice to purchase for my husband and perhaps my in-laws for Valentines day.

I have no idea what to get Chris for Valentines. I know he’d be happy with just about anything- even a card, but I’d like to get him something nice. My husband is a musician, and he specializes in the guitar, although he plays 13 different instruments. Perhaps I’ll look at all of the Guitar Trader coupons and see if I can find something that he can use with one of his guitars. I know that he needs a new case for one of his guitars, and we can always use some more guitar stands.

Yes, I think I’ve found the perfect gift. Now I just have to decide exactly what to buy.
