Healthy Lifestyle Website

October 26, 2006 by Tricia

I’ve come across another site that some of my readers might find very helpful. Do you like free items? Perhaps Free Product Samples? It seems to be pretty easy. All you need to do is register on the site and this will enable you to get free product samples.

The company states that it’s goal is to connect American consumers with America’s top brand names. Members will be entitled to obtain free product samples, coupons, and offers for brands and products that they normally buy or that they might someday be interested in purchasing.

As a member you can obtain products from big brand names such as Nature made, Ambien, O.B., Tylenol, Dove, Pfizer, Kleenex, Purina, Robitussin, Oral-B, and Centrum. There are not shipping costs or fees for members.

Did I mention the free articles that you will have access to with your membership? There appears to be articles on minerals and their effect on our health, Diet and weight management products, maintaining a healthy lifestyle plus many more articles.

The site states that membership is free. I didn’t register myself because this site is geared to Americans and as a Canadian I was unable to register, but it looks like there is a lot of good information, advice and tips to be had there, plus free product samples of course. Check it out for yourself.

My Trip to the office

October 25, 2006 by Tricia

I did not sleep well on Monday night. I never do when I have to go see the occupational health doctor the next day at my workplace. It always feels like I’ve been sent to the principals office. Not that I was ever sent to the principals office when I was in school. I was an angel.

Uh yeah, I can remember being sent to the office at least once. It was either in grade 7 or grade 8. My class had gone on a trip. I think it was a weekend trip. We were taken out into the forest and taught how to read compasses and then we were sent on an adventure in order to find our way back to the camp. Just what the heck kind of school did I go to anyway? We completed that successfully. Later we were sent out to learn how to build lean-to’s with pine and cedar branches. Geez I must have gone to some kind of survivor preparation school huh? That night we were supposed to sleep in our lean-to’s.

I never got to sleep in mine though. Some bright person in my crowd decided we should go skinny dipping in the lake. Seven or eight of us went to the lake and while we were frolicking in the water the teacher came along and gave us hell. She ended up putting us on the school bus that night and sent us home to our very angry parents!

That’s how I ended up in the principals office when school resumed. I guess it’s lucky he didn’t expel us. I can’t remember what the punishment was, probably detention for a week or so.

So, after an hours sleep I found myself in the Occ health doctors office Tuesday morning. He asks questions then sits staring at you for a few minutes. The minutes feel like hours, you start to feel like you should add more to your answers. You giggle a little and then feel embarrassed that you did that. Then he sits rubbing the top of his head for a full minute, asks a few more questions, and starts hen pecking the keyboard of his computer one finger at a time.

I’m still off work. I get to go back to the principals Occ health doctors office December 15th. By the time of my next appointment with him I’ll have been off work for 1 full year plus 11 days. I hope that I start to get better before that appointment. Wish me luck!

So, on Tuesday my heads in a fog since I’m so tired, but I had to stay awake because I had an appointment with my Family Doctor scheduled that afternoon. Then some grocery shopping! Arghhh. I stayed up for a while after we got home but I finally passed out on the couch at around 7 pm. I remember waking at 9:30 pm and thinking I was awake enough to sit up, but then I closed my eyes again and promptly fell to sleep.

I finally woke up at about 1230 am this morning. My husband was watching TV. He told me that he’d been trying and trying to wake me up. He’d shaken me, poked me and still I wouldn’t wake.

Now I’m sitting here in a lot of pain. I didn’t take any pain medication since before I went to bed Monday evening. My abdomen is killing me. I wish I hadn’t fallen asleep earlier!

Racy Lingerie

October 24, 2006 by Tricia

Geez! It was my anniversary on Sunday and I wish I’d found this site at least a week before that. I could have had a really interesting weekend, well I did, but with what I found on this site it might have been even spicier.

I found a site that sells some very sexy lingerie. There’s also some pretty racy Halloween costumes too. The site ships orders in anyway you like- next day air, or ground shipping, so if you wanted to order one of their hot costumes for Halloween, perhaps the Sexy Witch Costume there might still be time to order? The prices seem to be very reasonable as well.

I wonder what I would have chosen if I’d known about this site before my anniversary? Maybe this Victorian Style Shortie Babydoll? I like the bell sleeves and the satin ribbon lace up. I might still order something- either for Halloween or just for a exciting evening. I’ll have to spend some more time looking at my options.

Beach Cruisers

October 22, 2006 by Tricia

Wow, I was surfing the net- what else do I do these days? and I came across an interesting bike called “Beach cruisers. Given the name you probably think it’s some kind of bike that you ride on the beach, but you don’t have to live at the beach to ride this bike. It’s supposed to be comfortable and relaxing.

The bikes are actually really cool looking. You should visit the site just to see them. There are womens, mens, kids, classic beach, multi-speed and chopper style model bikes to choose from, and the prices seem quite reasonable too.

Save tons of $ on long distance calls

October 21, 2006 by Tricia

Have you heard about Pingo International and Prepaid calling cards yet? I wish I had when we had our South Korean and Brazilian boarders here. We could have suggested that they use the Pingo calling cards to save money on their long distance calls.

If you make a lot of long distance calls to other Countries International prepaid calling cards might be just what you need. You’ll get $5 USD in free calls just for signing up. Visit the site and see for yourself how many options you have. You can use a Pingo calling card with your mobile phone, and believe it or not the rates for use with a cell phone are very good. You’ll have Pinless dialing with Pinpass which means no more inputting huge numbers into the phone before you can make your call. You can also use Pingo International and prepaid calling cards to call over 35 Countries.

You purchase calling time with your credit card and Pingo provides you with your own unique Personal Identification Number (PIN) and a toll-free access number. Then you’re ready to start using Pingo and saving on long distance calls. You can also use a service called auto-charge which will automatically refil your calling card when it reaches $5 USD. You’ll also be able to check your call history and billing online.

After having boarders here and having them tell me how much it cost them to call back home I know, that after viewing some of the rates on the Pingo site that the long distance calling rates are very low. For example, if my boarder from South Korea called home using a pingo card the calling card rates would have been as low as 2.4 cents per minute. My Brazilian boarder would have got rates as low as 2 cents per minute!

If you sign up with Pingo you can also earn some money towards your long distance calls. During the month of October you can earn $10 for each friend you refer to pingo. The normal referral rate is $5. Also, if you have a website you can sign up for Pingo’s affiliate program and earn some extra cash when someone signs up for a Pingo International and prepaid calling card.

Pingo calling cards are ideal for anyone that makes long distance calls. Go see for yourself, check the calling card rates to other countries, and view just how many countries you can call with a Pingo International calling card. I’m sure you’ll agree that there are savings to be had by using a Pingo prepaid calling card.
