Mirror boxing

Don’t you love watching animals looking at themselves in a mirror? This cat looks like it’s about to tickle it’s reflection.

When I was walking Midnight our Lab puppy this afternoon we passed by a small apartment building and she happened to stop and gaze at the glass apartment door entrance. Well she started barking her head off after she finally noticed herself in the glass.

Sometimes when she sees her reflection I think she realizes that it’s herself and other times she seems to think it’s another dog. It’s pretty funny to watch her reaction.

She’s a mean drinker!

I love the look on this little girls face as she pours from the bottle. She’s probably just concentrating on the task, but she looks like she’s really mad!

Actually now that I take another look at the picture maybe her mom just told her to stop pouring! Either way she doesn’t look very happy does she?

Reminds me of a photo of myself when I was about 9 years old. I was sitting at a table in our home, dressed in a long gown that my mom had made and there was food in front of me. I remember the day the photo was taken and I was in a bad mood. My face shows it! I’ll have to see if I can dig that up.

Lego my skull!

Lego my skull!

Isn’t it amazing all the things that you can do with Lego these days?

I haven’t looked at a set of Lego’s in ages, but I take it that they make them in a lot more shapes and sizes than they did when I was a kid. Some of them must be flexible too.

Have you ever made any interesting creations with Lego?

I’m a chew-a-holic

My little cutie. It looks as if she’s thinking “What? I’m just sitting here being good as I chew my tire.”

Up until a day or two ago that tire was Midnight’s favorite toy. We just got it for her a week ago and she loved it from the minute I pulled it out of the bag. I’m not sure why she’s not playing with it as much in the last couple of days though.

Our puppy is continuing to do well … finally. Well, she’s still very sensitive to any changes in her diet like a new treat or anything, but otherwise she’s doing well.

She’s been giving me lots of great photo ops. I took some photos of her on Monday when we got back from the groomers. She had a red Petsmart Bandanna on and it looked very cute. I’ll get those pictures ready to post soon.

I’ve got another cute photo of her over at My World and on Odd Planet if you’d like to take a peek.

A pretty little rose

January 9, 2008 by Tricia

Wordless Wednesday

This is a beautiful English Rose called Sharifa Asma. It has a lovely perfume like scent, but unlike some of my other roses the scent doesn’t waft in the air for any great distance. This is a rose that you must get up close to in order to appreciate it’s beauty and lovely scent.

I just love my roses. I grow a number of English roses, Antique roses, Hybrid teas and Floribundas. I wonder what will happen when spring and summer comes along and my puppy gets to spend more time in the backyard garden? I hope my roses survive!
