Suffer from Irritable bowel or a digestive disorder?

November 7, 2007 by Tricia

Earlier in the week when I posted that I was very sick due to my Crohn’s disease one of the people who left a comment suggested that I try an Aloe Vera drink to sooth my symptoms.

Shortly after receiving that comment I came across the Serovera website where they sell a product that is made up of the healing agent Aloe Mucilaginous Polysaccharides that is found in Aloe Vera plants.

This supplement, when taken regularly for a period of time, is said to help with the symptoms of Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Colitis, Crohn’s and diverticulitis.

Serovera is an all natural supplement. Research has shown that the main ingredient in this product, Aloe Mucilaginous Polysaccharides, help to decrease inflammation, promote healing and boost the bodies immune system. It does this by helping to fortify the cell walls, improves cellular metabolism as well as helping with constipation and diarrhea.

The site actually has a whole list of disorders that Serovera can help with such as Acid reflux, autoimmune disorders such as Crohn’s, Ulcerative colitis, Lupus, and Rheumatoid Arthritis, as well as several types of Ulcers and other disorders, particularly digestive disorders.

I might give this product a try myself. I’m having a terrible time lately and this sounds like it could help.

If you have any of these disorders or know of someone who does you might want to visit the Serovera website where you can learn more about the benefits of this all natural supplement, read testimonials, FAQ’s and order Serovera if you are interested. You’ll also find a number of informative articles about Serovera and the disorders that benefit from the supplement.

Sooooo ill

November 5, 2007 by Tricia

I’m still sick. Really sick. I’ve been nauseated all evening.

I wish it would either go away or progress … instead I only feel like being sick and have felt that way for hours and hours on end. Uhgh. I’m totally avoiding the bathroom vanities as I’m sure I look just terrible.

I’ve been feeling pretty bad since last Tuesday so I’m going on seven days of feeling like dirt.

This does not bode well for my trip to Las Vegas on Thursday does it?

Stupid Crohn’s disease. Go Away!

Rumbles and growls

November 2, 2007 by Tricia

Oh Man … I’m sitting here typing away and my stomach is just growling like crazy! it sounds like a volcano that’s about to erupt or the grumbling that you’d expect to hear from a monster hiding in a closet.

My stomach’s been very noisy this week. Sometimes it does that when my Crohn’s is really bad, and other times, after a long period of silence the growling seems to signify that my tummy is getting better. I don’t know what it means this time round, but I have been pretty sick this week already. Hopefully it means I’m going to start getting better for a while.

I must record the sounds sometime. It’s really loud and not your typical tummy growls sounds either!

Even though my stomach will growl when I’m not hungry – like when I’ve just eaten, this time some of the rumbles really are caused by hunger. I’d better start thinking about dinner and whether to cook or order my favorite Greek Food.

Hmmm … guess which one I’ll pick?

What a week!

November 2, 2007 by Tricia

Wow. I can’t believe I went 6 days without writing in my blog. Blogs I should say – there’s several I haven’t done any writing in all week! I don’t think I’ve ever gone that long without writing!

Sorry! Life just got in the way.

During the first part of the week I was shopping and preparing for our trip to Las Vegas next week. Then, probably because I’ve been a lot more active lately I crashed!

I’ve been so sick from about Tuesday evening onward that I’ve barely been able to do a thing. Ain’t Crohn’s fun? Of course, this means that when I go to Vegas I’ll probably crash again while I’m there or right after I come back.

If you’re going to be at Blogworld or P0stiecon and you meet up with my husband and I, don’t let me overdo things, ok? Honestly. I can be really hyper and sometimes I need to just be told to sit down and take a break. You’ll be doing me a favor if you help make me rest. LOL Also, I’m a huge klutz so making me take it easy might save me from personal injury. Seriously!

Speaking of personal injury. The other day I was standing on the couch to pull our dark curtains shut. We’d run out of Halloween candy and shutting those dark curtains helps make our house look like no one’s home. Shhhh. Well, as I stood on the couch and stretched to reach the top of the curtain where it had become stuck I heard a pop in my right ankle. I didn’t think too much of it at the time, but a few hours later my inner ankle, heel and the lower part of my calf started hurting.

I must have stretched or torn something because I’m still limping around the house a few days later! I think I really need to get me some whole life insurance or something … or wrap myself in bubble wrap as I once said I was going to do every time I went out!

I really am a class A klutz.

Puffy due to new meds!

October 26, 2007 by Tricia

I didn’t say anything about this, but a few weeks ago when I saw one of my doctors they finally decided to try me on prednisone for my Crohns.

So far it doesn’t seem to have helped my symptoms or my pain. What it has done though it make me puffy! Geez …I’m traveling out of the country in two weeks. Everyone wants to look their best while on vacation and here I am starting to look like a puff ball thanks to my medication! I almost feel like going out and buying some diet pills. I won’t – but it’s frustrating!

When I feel up to it I get on the elliptical machine we bought a couple of weeks ago. I still haven’t used it enough to build up much endurance though. It’s really hard when you don’t feel well all the time! I certainly hope the steroids begin to work the way they should as I’d love to feel a little bit better!
