All My Movies – DVD catalog program

May 14, 2007 by Tricia

I’ve been asked to do discuss the DVD catalog program All My Movies, and I think this would be a great program for anyone that has a large collection of DVD’s, CDs, VHS tapes and other forms of media that they’d like to keep track of an organize.

The program is a very easy to use DVD and Movie Catalog. Use the program to catalog details of your personal media collection. What I like about the program is that you don’t need to sit and spend hours filling out all the movies details for your catalog. Just give the program a little bit of information such as the movie title and it will automatically download all the details from the internet movie database. All My Movies is even Windows Vista compatible.

All My Movies isn’t just for English language films, it’s actually a multilingual organizer. It supports English, Greek, Russian, Dutch, Belorussian, French, Latvian, Serbian, Polish, Italian, Portuguese, Swedish, Finnish, Spanish, Danish, Korean, Slovak, Chinese and German languages.

All my Movies supports additional internet movie databases with plugins for the All My Movies program, so you can use it to import details from many different internet movie databases. Want to know more about the various actors in your movie collection? You can look up actors birthdays, biographies and filmographies quickly and automatically.

If you have an extremely large collection you might be interested to know that you can add new DVDS and other media data into the program by using a UPC/EAN barcode. Just enter or scan the barcode numbers and all the information is added automatically.

You can save your collection to PDA’s and other mobile devices if you’d like. Heck, you an even play movies directly from the program so it can be used as a video playlister.

There are so many features I could go on – but if you think this program sounds like something that you could use, or that it might make a great gift for a friend or relative who has a great movie collection go to the site and read more about All My Movies features. You can take a look at screenshots of the software at work on the site too.

If you are migrating over from a competitors movie collector’s software you can get a 25% discount on your purchase.

Guy catches sunglasses on face over and over again

May 10, 2007 by Tricia

OMG you have to see this … this guy throws a pair of sunglasses at his friend and they seem to magically land on his face properly.

I thought it was amazing once but they go on to do it again and again …dropping sunglasses from a roof, a bridge, throwing them behind as they skateboard and most amazing of all, the guy throws them threw an open car window and each time they just land perfectly on his friends face.

I’ve never seen anything like this! I don’t know which is more amazing – the guy who’s throwing the sunglasses or the one who happens to catch them on his face perfectly each time.

Robbing a Donut shop with a Staple gun?

May 9, 2007 by Tricia

I don’t know if this is from a comedy show, or someone that has just named their production “The Bsquad” but I found this funny video on YouTube of a guy, obviously a comedian, attempting to rob a Dunkin Donuts with a staple gun. It’s kind of weird and out there. It got me wondering though if anyone has ever tried that, and if they did – were they successful?

They could be twins

May 7, 2007 by Tricia

I didn’t have the best day today. Got up early and had an appointment with the pain doctor who I’m starting to think is talking in circles and not thinking things out. I’ll get more into that perhaps in another post.

Anyway, I wasn’t feeling up to par so around 5 pm I decided to lie down on the couch for half an hour or so and have a nap. I was hoping I’d feel better when I got up.

Well, I didn’t fall asleep until after 6, and then I was awoken at 7 pm by my elderly neighbor banging on my door and coming right into the house! That’ll be yet another post. Don’t worry Chris was there, I wasn’t sleeping all by myself with the door unlocked.

I awoke to see that Chris was watching a television show called the Sea Hunters. To my amazement this one man, James Delgado, the Canadian Executive Director of the Vancouver Maritime Museum and one of the world’s leading maritime archaeologists looked very much like one of my favorite CSI characters.

Gil Grissom

Watching him talk about the dive they were doing and the shipwreck that they’d discovered from the late 1800’s in the Baltic Sea I noticed that not only did he look like Gil Grissom from CSI (Las Vegas version, played by William Petersen), but his facial expressions and mannerisms were very much like Grissoms’.

I couldn’t find a photo of Gil Grissom that look as much like James Delgado as I thought he did on the episode of Sea Hunters, but even in this comparison they could at least be brothers couldn’t they? Just watch the first minute or so of the first video on this page, at about 50 seconds you’ll catch a good look of James and he looks an awful lot like Gil.

What do you think? Close enough to be brothers? Fraternal twins? At the very least relatives?

iGliss – organize your media and all the websites you enjoy in one place!

May 5, 2007 by Tricia

I just spent some time visiting a new site where members can Mix, sync, and share your media from the Web and PCs. This new site is called iGliss.

The site was created in order to make it easier for you to both collect, mix, synchronize various types of media, and then share it with your friends or with the world. Once you register you can begin using the site to share your favorite photos, videos, audio recordings or even blogs from the web.

There are so many interesting features it’s hard to know where to begin. You can use iGliss in so many ways. As I mentioned above you can simply use it to share your pictures and videos with friends and family, or you can use the site to keep track of cool photos that your friends and acquaintance’s have recently posted on Flickr.

You can watch the latest videos from sites like YouTube and Grouper, or listen to internet talk shows and news podcasts. You can even use it to read new posts from from favorite blogs.

I really like some of the features. I mean, I run several websites, yet I want to stay in touch with what’s happening on the web and read my ever growing list of favorite blogs but it can be hard to keep up with it all. I spend an hour on a forum, an hour or two reading RSS feeds or visiting site after site, then to relax or get ideas for posts I might sometimes stop in at Youtube to see if there’s any good videos that I can use. Now, with iGliss it seems like I can do much of that right from the iGliss site. That’s amazing. For me that would be a real time saver!

You don’t have to upload anything to the site. All you need to do once you become a free member is start selecting websites, RSS feeds and any other media that you’d like to list in your account and iGliss will automatically synchronize the media content that you’ve selected and keep track of it all for you.

I’m in. I just signed up for a membership. I think I’ll be exploring the site for a while! See you there I hope!
