I can’t believe he did that!

May 20, 2010 by Tricia

I’m starting to wonder if my neighborhood is going downhill.

I live in a nice middle class area where most people seem to take care of their homes and there’s very few break ins or other crime … but still … it’s changed since we moved in almost 9 years ago.

I mean, the other day, after I had taken our dog outside to do her business for the last time that evening – around 11:30 pm, I saw a car stop in front of our house. As I was starting to close our front door I saw a man get out of the drivers side of the car and walk around to the back door on the passenger side.

The man sort of bent over a little bit and I wondered if he was talking to someone in the backseat or if he was leaning in the back window to get something.

I don’t know why I paused at the door to watch him, but I did. Little did I know that my husband who’d just gone upstairs to get ready for bed was watching from the bedroom window as well.

The man stood at the side of the car for a few moment and then walked around the car, got in, and drove off.

My husband called down from upstairs “Did you see what that guy DID?”

I said “no … I just thought he was talking to someone in the backseat.”

Then my husband said:

“That guy just PEED ON HIS CAR!”

“What?”

“He was peeing on his car!”

Who does that? Who pees on their own car … or well, I don’t know if the man owned the car, but still, who pees on the car they’re driving around?

Plus it’s not like I live on a quite side street. It’s fairly busy with cars going by 24 hours a day.

I know sometimes you just have to pee and you might not be in a place where you can easily get to a washroom … but why did the guy pee on his car? Why didn’t he walk into my neighbors yard and pee behind his big maple tree or walk down the side street that’s just beside our house?

Would you ever do that? Pee on your own car I mean?

Anyway … now you can see why I’m wondering if my neighborhood is going downhill. LOL

Why am I so hungry?

January 19, 2010 by Tricia

I’m starving!

LOL as I wrote that my stomach made a huge growling sound … I guess it agrees with me.

I don’t know why, but for the last four or five days or so I’ve been hungry all the time. No, I’m not eating every time I feel hungry (other wise I’d have to go on a hunt for the best diet supplements or something similar), but I’m getting hungry only an hour or two after I’ve eaten a proper meal.

I guess my metabolism has kicked in to high gear or something. I have been busier than normal lately.

I’ve eaten twice so far today … a bowl of cereal and some yogurt for breakfast and then a light lunch before going to my 1:30 pm doctors appointment. I was home by 3 pm after walking from the doctors office and I’ve been hungry since 4:30 pm and I shouldn’t be.

My husbands still out jamming on the guitar with a friend and we still have to go to the Big Carrot to get that Static Eliminator dryer sheet so I don’t think we’ll be having dinner until at least 7:30 … The way my stomach is growling I don’t think I’ll last that long. I might have to break down and eat a granola bar or something.

Do you have days or weeks like this where you just seem to be hungry almost all of the time?

Growlllllll …. yep, my stomach sounds like a dinasaur and it’s getting louder!

The cat and the soap bubbles

September 9, 2009 by Tricia

Ninja kitty does it again! I love this shot of a cat jumping up to puncture a huge soap bubble!

Wow!

The photographer took the picture at just the right moment as you can still see the shape of the bubble but it’s also clearly disintegrating. Actually the fading punctured bubble kind of looks like a face doesn’t it? That’s another thing that I found cool about this photograph.

Now that’s living!

This baby gorilla has it made. Play all day and when he or she gets tired it can just hitch a ride of it’s momma’s back. That’s the life.

I love pictures like this of baby animals. Just like human babies it seems they can sleep anywhere and in just about any position! Too cute!

Missed photo op

May 9, 2009 by Tricia

I don’t know what this photographer is taking a picture of, but little does he know he’s missing out on a photo op right behind him!

I wonder if the penguin went up to him and goosed his behind?
