Good news for balding men

March 24, 2010 by Tricia

The other day when my husband and I were driving around in the car I heard an interesting news story on the radio. It was a good news piece for balding men.

Studies have apparently shown that men who are almost completely bald by the time they’re in their 30’s have a much lower chance of getting prostate cancer. I believe the story said that men who are balding in their 40’s also have a lower chance of getting prostate cancer as well.

So while I know most men don’t want to be bald .. why else would there be so many hair loss for men products out there if you all loved being bald … at least there’s some good news healthwise for those that bald earlier in life.

I just thought I’d pass that on!

That’s interesting to know! I wonder what the real connection is there, and how they came to that conclusion?

That is really interesting for all bald men. Finally they got something to cheer about.

I sure would rather be bald than have cancer. I’d trade good health for my hair, which I would eventually lose if I undergo chemotherapy.

Ha! .. they say stress causes an increase in testosterone and testosterone causes hair to thin out. Thanks to this story I will stress less about my hair loss ..

My father and grandfather both still have full heads of hair and my grandfather actually battled prostate cancer and survived. The odds seem a bit stacked against me, but I’m hoping by the time I really have to worry medicine will advance a bit more. You never know what science will discover next.

Hey! Are these good news? Am just wondering how many men like their bald head. My professor had a bald head and we used to make jokes of him that he had a bigger face to wash and few hairs to comb. Am just curious about this new discovery.
