I think the top of my head is going to blow off – yeah it’s a migraine

August 30, 2009 by Tricia

I don’t know if it’s the weather or what, but the last few days I’ve been pretty much put out of commission by headaches and migraines! Friday and today were both total write offs. I’m only just beginning to feel slightly human right now … after a day of throbbing head pain.

My husband was out all day and that didn’t help. Have you ever tried to take care of a dog (ie go out for pee breaks?) when you can barely stand up because when you do it feels like the top of your head is going to blow off?

My husband didn’t help when he got home either. He got back at about 9:30 pm and he had his cousin and his cousins two sons with him (they’d been helping another cousin fix a drainage problem in her backyard all day) and even though he knew I felt like death warmed over he brought the kids in to say hi. GRRR So of course I had to stand up for hugs and then see them out the door to their car again. Not fun!

If my husband does anything else like that tonight he’d better hope that Blue Advantage gives him good coverage ’cause I felt like punching him earlier! LOL

I hope that this migraine goes away soon and stays away. It’s gotten cold here in Toronto and it was overcast all weekend. Like I said earlier maybe the weather has something to do with the headaches?

Girl!! I so feel ya! I think I’m recovering today – I’m actually nervous to say….though it does feel quite a lot better. Mine started Friday and was hellatious Fri-Sat-Sun. It’s been aw-ful!!! And yep – it’s been overcast and/or rainy that whole time. This morning the sun is out and I’m hoping for a good day! Here’s to you and me feeling better!!!

(Oh, and next time – dont’ get up for people!!!! Please!)

Migraines are really difficult to deal with. When I do get them even Tylenol nor advil helps. And when I do lie in bed you still feel that throbbing near the temple. It seems that as I get older the migraines become more frequent. I hope they come up with a permanent cure for migraines.

You need to keep yourself hydrated hun. They’re definitely hard to cope with. Get some rest dear! Toronto’s weather gets crazy .. and even the weatherman can’t guess the weather right. Get some rest!

No fun, I have a friend that was in a car accident and gets constant migraines and they can be rehabilitating. Hopefully things turn out alright for you. I get bad headaches like once a year or so, which I can luckily deal with.

I used to get migraines so bad they would make me vomit then one day they just stopped thank God that they did because that is not a good feeling. My prayers go out to those of you that still suffer.

Teresa I also used to get really bad migraines. They started when I was about 12 years old and then they stopped when I was maybe 25 … unfortunately they seem to be coming back. I’ve had a very headachey year … of course I’ve also been on a few new medications this year so that could be partly to blame.

I’m glad your headaches stopped. I hope that they don’t come back.

I just started having migranes, it used to only be mild headaches, but now it’s unbearable. It comes and goes periodically. Hopefully this time it won’t stay long.

Does anyone have tricks so that they are less painful
