Pets and mirrors

April 1, 2009 by Tricia

I’ve always loved watching my various pets over the years whenever they happened to discover themselves in the mirrors. Some of them, like my dog Midnight, seem to know that the dog in the mirror is herself, but other pets I’ve had seem to have thought that it was another animal invading their territory! Either way it’s kind of funny to watch!

It looks like this cat discovered itself in the mirror! Kiss, kiss!

That’s not a cat in a mirror, that’s two cats.

Gorgeous picture I have a cat and it was funny when it was a kitten, it used to try and fight itself in the mirror

My cat once saw herself in the mirror and began growling and hissing. I took a photo of her, it was extremely amusing. Afterwards she received a consoling hug.

I like to look at myself in the mirror. My brother Harley sometimes uses the mirror to look at things behind him!

Yes, as a cat is territorial, they would get the idea that some other one is encroaching on their space.

I thought it was too cats when I first looked at it as well.
My cats start acting up when they see themselves in the mirror, I think that they think it is another cat as another commenter said.

    Cheers

Oh, yes, they are very funny. I have two Persian cats and mirrors all over the room. Every day I have show in the apartment when my cats start to reflect in the mirrors.

I have a puppy and small kitten as pets in my home. I didn’t put name yet. By seeing this pic, they comes into my mind.
