Have you ever had your car towed? Ever been there when it’s being towed away? I’ll bet that you didn’t do what this irate Shanghai woman did when her SUV was about to be towed!

We’ve only had our car towed once. It happened when we lived in our apartment. I think they were doing renovations to the garage so instead of parking in our regular parking space we parked in the apartment building lot. Perfectly legal parking, however at about 6 in the morning our “legal’ parking time expired and I guess the tow truck was there just waiting for parked cars time to expire. Vultures.
As it turned out Chris went downstairs to move our car at about 6:10 in the morning but our car was already towed – just minutes before.
Chris went and picked up the car as fast as he could but that mistake cost us about 270 bucks! I never knew that towing companies added extra to the bill for every hour that they keep a vehicle! That company did anyway!
If you’ve ever been present when your car was about to be towed did it ever occur to you to just get in your vehicle and try to drive away?

That was the funniest thing I have ever seen… good thing her car was an SUV and not rear wheel drive…lol

That’s funny. Tow truck drivers get a bad rap. We only do what we’re told and help follow the law (as annoying as it can be at times to others). We’re not out to be the bad guys.
How funny, I just spent the last 2 hours watching episodes of Operation Repo and Parking Wars on my DVR, it’s amazing what people do impulsively when they see their car being towed!

I lived in an apartment complex in college that would boot illegally parked cars. One day some students bought a car boot on eBay, and when the parking enforcement car stopped to place a boot on a student’s car, the students snuck around and put the boot on the parking enforcement car. The guy was stuck in the parking lot for over an hour while students came out and took pictures and made fun of him. We all hated that guy.

That’s a pretty straightforward form of customer response! Hopefully customers aren’t always mad when met with a tow truck.
