Toronto – My colorful city

August 16, 2008 by Tricia

This weeks Photohunt theme is colorful and this is the most colorful photo of my city, Toronto, that I’ve ever taken!

I took this photo last year, in early September while on a Toronto dinner boat cruise with my family. We were all gathered together for a week long reunion and this was one of the activities that we’d planned.

The photo is a little blurred because of the boats motion. The water was a little choppy that evening. I’d also only had my Canon SLR EOS 30D camera for a little under a month, not to mention the fact that I don’t take all that many night shots. It’s something I still have to perfect.

I like the way the lights of the CN Tower and the lights along the lakefront are reflected in the water of Lake Ontario.

Excellent shot! You don’t somehow expect night shots to be colourful, and they’re difficult at the best of times.

That’s a lovely and very color-full reflection photo. I’ve visited Toronto (many years ago) but wasn’t fortunate enough to see anything like this. Thanks for sharing.

I’ve seen few pictures of Toronto before, but that one makes the city look really nice. I’ve never seen a unique structure like CN Tower before, that’s pretty cool.

The picture is really beautiful. I do have friends there and I’ve seen pictures, but only in day time. Toronto is really nice on night. Probably you love it.

That is a very high quality picture, when I saw it I was expecting you to say that it was from one of your favorite photographers or something, especially not from a moving boat 😀

P.S. You might want to fix your MySQL database, it is spitting out some funky comments on this page.

The reflection on the water is superb. If the blurring was sharp, it could easily be a professional photograph, Great shot Tricia.

My parents were in Toronta earlier this year! They said it was awsome!
