Spring plants are growing fast

Now that spring is here and I can actually see my garden it’s interesting to look out at it and see what new things have popped up from the ground or how much each new plant has grown. Some seem to grow several inches in a day or so!

I think these are tulips.

The tips of this plant were bright flaming red when we first uncovered them from the leaves that they were buried under.

I think all of the crocus’ in the backyard are blooming now. I planted them in the lawn and near the edges of the garden beds rather than directly in the beds. It looks more natural that way and it’s amazing how pretty they look popping out of the grass as they do:

The way things are speeding along this spring I won’t have long to enjoy the crocus.

Is anything blooming in your garden yet?

Gardeners, Plant and Nature lovers can join in every Sunday, visit As the Garden Grows for more information. GTS participants remember to check in at As the Garden Grows each week so that we’ll know you made a new post!

Your flowers look great! I don’t have a yard, so no garden for me, but I do want a few nice plants or flowers for the house, although my ability to keep them alive is up in the air.

You are correct. Those are tulips.

I bought some nice plants for pot plants at Cosco today.

I’d like to get some of different heights and make an arrangement in each flower pot.

PLEASE take some photos from further back! You have great close up shots, but it would be interesting to see how your garden looks from further back. Thanks.

Hi Tricia: Thanks for visiting my site. I know you were trying to send me instructions on linking on my sidebar. I did add the blogroll in as a post and back dated it as the instructions required. Is this something different I need to do? Thanks

You can email at the above address

I have a love/hate relatoinship with spring. On the plus side, its less windy here and the weather is the best we get all year. On the other hand, I’m usually too stuffy to enjoy it.
