I’m a post-a-holic – Stop me!

March 16, 2008 by Tricia

Oh my gosh. I think after this I’m going to turn off my laptop and not turn it back on again until sometime tomorrow.

I’ve done something like 22 or 24 posts today on many of my blogs and my fingers are about ready to fall off. My wrists too!

I’ve been in the kitchen for the last 45 minutes to an hour getting our late dinner ready. I made homemade spaghetti sauce and of course spaghetti. The sauce needs just a little longer to blend and then we’ll sit down for a very late meal.

It’s a good thing Chris has tomorrow off since he’s going to be up later than normal thanks to me being behind on dinner.

I’m just starving too!

So much for updating the WP version on all the Feverishthoughts blogs today huh? Tomorrow …

I have a fantastic post coming up for you. I’ll be auto-publishing it at 6 a.m. Try to remember to come back as it will be worth it. It’s something totally unbelievable!

Ok. I’m slowly backing away from the computer now …

My favorite spring flowers

I haven’t made any secret of the fact that I’m looking forward to spring more than ever this year. It’s been a long cold and snowy winter and I’m more than ready for it to end.

Over on my gardening blog I was just talking about which flowers and plants I expect to see emerge from the snow and ground first. Of course the crocus’ will likely come first. I think they’ve been the first to emerge just about every year that I’ve had a garden.

The muscari (grape hyacinth), hyacinths, hellebores and iris’ will quickly follow and before I know it my garden will be full of life again. Oh and I’ll have a heck of a lot of work to do to keep it looking nice too!

One of my favorite spring flowers are the hyacinths. I just love these coral ones. I must get more of those this fall.

Each year as the snow begins to disappear and my garden begins to peek out from under the snow I look at in excitement to see which plants are actually growing even though the ground is still quite cold. Almost always I’ll see that my many strawberry plants are green and often I’ll note that the heuchera’s have not only emerged but are growing leaves too!

Do you have plants that seem to begin to grow while still under the snow? Which ones?

It’s Easter this weekend. If you don’t grow your own flowers why not send some to someone you love?

Gardeners, Plant and Nature lovers can join in every Sunday, visit As the Garden Grows for more information. GTS participants remember to check in at As the Garden Grows each week so that we’ll know you made a new post!

Spring is coming and so are the new Spring bags

March 16, 2008 by Tricia

Over the past few weeks I’ve been working on two of my new sites and since they are related to shopping and fashion I’ve been reading a lot of fashion related articles in magazines and on the web. I don’t think there’s any chance that I’ll ever be a fashion Diva, but you can be sure I’ll know what all the current trends are and what new products are coming out each season.

So lets talk about handbags and purses. What bags are going to be must have’s this spring? Well, I can tell you that you should be looking at >Drawstring handbags. I think they’ve been popular in one way or another since the 70’s, but they are really coming back in a big way this year.

drawstring.jpg I really like the look of this Adrienne Vittadini Drawstring Hobo. It’s made of Italian glossy snake printed leather. It also has cell phone pocket as well as an inside zipped section and additional pockets. I love purses that are sectioned or that have pockets inside as it makes it so much easier to keep your bag organized and find things when you need them.

If you’re just not that into drawstring style bags perhaps a Flat tote might have more appeal?

This bright red Dolce & Gabbana flat shopping tote is made of woven patent leather. Isn’t it just gorgeous?

flattote.jpg If you like to carry just about everything you might need in your bag then this is the bag for you. You can carry it using the dual handles or if you’ve filled it with your days shopping you can use the adjustable cross body strap.

Bright colors are in this year, and so are floral and graphic prints.

Why not carry these trends over to your choice of bags and clutches? We all know that the right purse and the right shoes can make or break and outfit.

Personally I’m not that big on wearing floral patterned tops, dresses or coats. I know they look great on some people and maybe they look good on me as well, but they aren’t to my taste. Now isn’t that interesting given how much I love flowers?

dis_envelope_daisy.jpg However, having said that I certainly wouldn’t be adverse to carrying this lovely Daisies and Lilacs Envelope Clutch. Isn’t it cute?

It’s handmade in floral print cotton canvas and it’s also fully lined in Spring green cotton.

Have you purchased a new bag(s) for the Spring season? If you have, or if you’ll be shopping for a new bag soon I’d love to hear what styles and colors interest you most.

I’m sure there are better things to put up your nose

March 16, 2008 by Tricia

The other day we ordered one of my favorite take-out foods. We ordered Greek. I just love it!

Unfortunately when I was eating my salad … actually trying to get the final bit of dressing and feta from the bottom of the container since it tasted so good – I ended up inhaling the salad dressing.

Let me tell you. Salad dressing with tiny chunks of feta cheese inhaled up your nose .. well backwards since I must have coughed it up there – is absolutely no fun.

What’s the strangest thing that you’ve accidentally snorted up your nose.

Now that’s a broken laptop!

What would you do if this happened to your laptop computer? Head over to a computer rental until you could get it fixed?

Maybe … but I don’t think this is anywhere near fixable. Maybe the hard drives data could be recovered, depending of course what exactly caused this laptop to break in half.

I think this person probably needs a new laptop, don’t you?

I think I’d be really stressed if anything happened to my laptop. It’s pretty much attached to me when I’m at home.

I was cringing the other day when I was watching Men in Trees and Marin’s laptop fell into her pond!
