Holy crap! Literally!
You have to see this news video about a woman who sat on a toilet in a small trailer for two years. She has agoraphobia and was afraid to come out.
I know some bathrooms are really tiny, I’ve got a small one myself, but this woman must not have ever stood up during that two year period as her leg muscles atrophied and her skin grew around the toilet forcing rescue workers, when they were finally called, to have to take her out with the toilet attached to her.
Isn’t that the strangest thing you’ve heard all week … perhaps even all year!

I agree. what a strange story.
I had read this before and had the same questions as you. I can understand the agorophobia thing and being afraid to leave the bathroom, but what made her decide to stay on the toilet with her pants down? Couldn’t she have just sat on the floor or something? That could not have been comfortable. I’m guessing it was also a little drafty.
For the record I read another article that said there were two bathrooms in the trailer, so that explains that problem.
I hope she gets the help she so obviously needs. Her boyfriend too for that matter.
Michelle, you know I never even thought about the boyfriend and what her being in the washroom for two years might have meant for him as far as washing up and relieving himself went. I’m glad to hear there were two bathrooms in the trailer.
When I found the video and wrote up my post I was wondering
1. why did she stay in the bathroom for two years?
2. was the bathroom so small (or perhaps was she so large) that she couldn’t move around a bit?
3. What the heck took the boyfriend so long to seek help in the first place?
I mean if I decided to stay in our washroom I’d certainly hope that my husband would try to make me come out after at least a day or so!
Where was the rest of her family? Did her sister’s wonder where she was? I cannot wrap my head around the oddity of all of this. It is crazy!
I can see the movie now- Two Years on a Toilet It would be cheap to make; it would only invlove one set. It might be rated R though.
this is one of those things thats so far out there it has to be true. you can’t make this stuff up.
hi tricia … I did see the headline … I was trying to ignore it but now you’ve made me think a bit more about it ….. How did she eat? If someone was feeding her why didn’t they sound the alarm a bit earlier … like after one day? Totally nutty!

The skin was attached to the toilet, now thats just wrong. I don’t know if this could be funny, maybe just strange. Clearly the most bizarre story I’ve read in a while.
