The Snow Cave

November 22, 2007 by Tricia

Wordless Wednesday

It’s supposed to snow here tonight. If it doesn’t snow at the very least we’re going to get freezing rain. Yuck!

This is a photo that I took a few years ago when we went to the beach area here in Toronto in January. Believe it or not it was a nice day and it was fun walking along the beach and by the water and discovering interesting formations like this snow cave that the water, snow and ice had created.

Sorry this post is so late. I’ve been feeling bad most of the week and all my posts have been delayed.

Nice photo! I’ve been meaning to check out the ice caves around my neck of the woods … they say it’s beautiful the way the sun shines through?

Snow… on a beach! Now that’s a first… sorry, I live in South America and there’s no snow down here, you know… at least not on beaches 😛

Are you saying that that cave is not artificial?! Wow. Nature has such amazing hands

Forrest – this cave had a very narrow opening on the water side and the snow and ice were very thick so I didn’t really see much sun shinning through it, but it was a neat looking formation.

El Rojo, yes I guess it does look different having snow on a beach doesn’t it? We don’t get a lot of snow here, but having said that we’ve just had our first snow and ice storm of the year! Luckily it will all melt away in a day or so!
