Learn more about managing your financial situation

September 27, 2007 by Tricia

I am so happy that my husband and I seem to be in decent financial shape these days. Oh sure, we could be doing better, but when you consider that I’ve been stuck at home due to my Crohn’s for almost two years the fact that I can say that we don’t have financial woes is pretty good.

We’ve had financial problems in the past though, and having been in that situation in the past I know how easy it is to get into trouble. All you need is an illness, the loss of a job or a very bad spending habit and the next thing you know your bills are overdue and credit agencies are calling or knocking on your door. It’s stressful!

If you are having financial troubles right now or if you think that you might have a bad credit history and want to check your credit rating you should visit the creditloan.com website. There’s lots of great information there.

You can learn how to repair your credit rating, how to apply for Bad Credit Car Loans, credit cards, or even learn about debt consolidation, home loans, mortgages, personal loans and student loans.

Not only can you get information on all the types of loans or financial situations that I just mentioned, but you can apply for several types of loans and credit cards right on the creditloan.com website.

This website also stresses how important it is to be aware of identity theft. Did you know that occasionally requesting a credit report may help you catch Identity theft early?

Visit the Credit Loan website. I know you’ll find some information that you can use!

Thursday night TV – A quick rundown

September 27, 2007 by Tricia

Wow there were a lot of new and premiering shows on TV tonight! Way too many to watch all at once. Once more I’m thankful that we have a PRV.

So far this evening we’ve watched ER – I hope Neela’s ok! It seems everyone else is pretty much the same as usual though.

We also watched CSI – the Vegas version. I won’t say too much in case all of you haven’t seen the episode yet, but it was a good one. The whole episode revolved around trying to find and rescue Sara who had been kidnapped by the miniature killer at the end of last season.

Then we watched Grey’s Anatomy.

Again, everyone is still basically the same. George is still in depressive mode, Izzy’s confused, Merideth’s indifferent but wants things to change, Cristina still hates everyone and she really misses Burke. Alex has a bit more of a caring personality and it seems he misses Eva/Rebbecca. Callie and Bailey are at odds with each other and plus a few other people, the chief just fumbles around, and finally Derek and Sloan might actually be becoming friends.

I don’t want to spoil anyone’s viewing … there’s lots of juicy happenings on Grey’s, but you’ll have to watch the show to find out what all I left out.

At this time, while I’m busy typing away on my laptop we’re watching Shark. Looks like a good one too.

The other shows that I set to tape tonight – ones that we’ll have to watch tomorrow night over over the weekend (hey we still have shows from Monday to Wednesday that we recorded, but haven’t had time to watch) are My name is Earl, Ugly Betty, The Office, Without a Trace, BigShots, and Survivor.

See what did I tell you? There’s way too many shows for someone to watch in one night! I feel sorry for those of you who don’t have vcr’s, tivo or PVR’s as you probably had a tough time deciding which shows to watch and which ones to drop from this evenings watch list.

Shop Barbara – designer bras, panties and clothing

September 27, 2007 by Tricia

I’m sure that I don’t have to tell the women reading this post how important it is to wear a bra that not only fits well, but feels comfortable too. For me the two go hand in hand. If a bra doesn’t fit properly it’s not going to be the least bit comfortable after a few hours of wear.

The other benefit of having a bra that fits properly is that it will ensure that your blouses, shirts and dresses fit well too.

There’s a large selection of designer bras at Shop Barbara. They have a variety of styles ranging from clear strap to fully coverage, lace, plunge, push up, semi and demi cup, strapless, unlined underwire bras and wireless. Designer brand names that you might recognize are Wacoal Bras, Chantelle, Felina, Jezebel and Panache plus many more.

You can purchase matching panties to go with your new designer bra as well if you’d like.

One thing that I like about this site is that when you’ve found a bra that you are considering purchasing you can see photos of how it looks from the front, back and in detailed view.

There’s also a link to a page at the bottom of the site that says Fit & Care where you’ll find tips on how to select a bra style that will flatter your figure.

Along with a wide selection of Bras and Panties you’ll also find fashion clothing, sleepwear, shoes and accessories at Shop Barbara.

Found a new Greek restaurant – Yum!

September 27, 2007 by Tricia

The other night we ordered Greek food from a new Greek restaurant in the area. OMG it was sooooo good!

Our favorite Greek restaurant to order from closed last year for renovations. They were closed for months. When they finally opened up again they no longer delivered or even did take out! What a pity.

We’d found another Greek restaurant to order take out food from, but it wasn’t as good as our previous favorite so we hadn’t had a Greek dinner that we’d truly enjoyed for quite a while.

Until Tuesday night that is.

Tuesday night we decided to order from the new Greek restaurant. We’d had a flyer/menu stuck in our door a few weeks ago. Chris had wanted to try the restaurant earlier this month, but I was hesitant. Since I was so busy doing work on the computer that night I finally gave in and said “sure lets give it a try”.

I’m so happy that I did say yes!

I think I was saying Mmmmm for most of the meal. Very unusual for me because I can be kind of picky about my food.

We ordered Saganaki, Spanakopita, a Greek salad all to share and then Chris ordered a gyro dinner for himself while I had the grilled lamb chops. The servings were quite large so we only ate half the food we ordered. This was good of course because you know we had some tasty leftovers last night. The other bonus is that this meal was at least $20 cheaper than what we would have paid at our former favorite Greek restaurant.

Mmmmmmmmmm

Now I’ve got to think of something for tonights dinner … hmmm … probably too soon to order out again, eh?

I once had an opportunity to go to Bali Indonesia

September 26, 2007 by Tricia

asiahotelsbellhop_lean.gif A few years ago one of my best friends from work asked me to go on holiday with her. As it turns out I was unable to go as that was just about the time that my Crohn’s was really starting to flare up. How I wish I’d gone!

I’d been invited to travel to Asia with her and two other friends. They ended up going to Thailand, Jakarta and Bali, plus several other small towns and villages in between.

My friend had known how much I wanted to go on the 3 week long vacation so whenever she managed to get to an Internet cafe she sent out emails filled with descriptions of the places they’d visited and the meals they’d eaten along the way. She also sent a few pictures too.

Of course all those detailed letters of her travels and the photos that she sent only made me want to go to Indonesia even more than ever.

I’ve even spent some time on the AsiaHotels.com website reading the Travelers Tales section where people who’ve stayed in hotels in Bali and elsewhere have enjoyed themselves so much that they’ve come back to the site to write about their travels. There are quite a few personal recommendations for various restaurants and tourist destinations.

The site also lists a large number of discount asian hotels. The prices are very reasonable and hotels seem to be very nice. I’m going to keep this site in mind just in case I ever get the opportunity to go to Asia in the future.
