EPAY debit cards – shop, make payments, and send money worldwide

September 16, 2007 by Tricia

I keep hearing about EPAY. Have you heard of it yet?

EPAY is a service similar in some ways to another popular service that many of us use called paypal. Similarities aside it appears to me that EPAY has a lot more services available worldwide. In fact if EPAY takes off it could become one of the most highly trafficked internet payment gateways in the world.

You’ll likely come across more and more online merchants who are using the services of EPAY to allow their clients to pay for goods or services. If you are not yet a member of EPAY you can still use the service to make a payment to the merchants EPAY account in order to buy a product, but in the long run it might be a great idea to go ahead and open a free EPAY account.

When you register with EPAY you’ll be able to transfer USD or EUR funds in a number of ways. You can use your EPAY account to pay for goods and services, accept money transfers or make your own bank wire transfers.

Members can sign up for debit cards which can be used virtually anywhere in the world where you would use ATM or credit cards on and offline.

Think about it. If you were away on holiday somewhere and you had funds in your EPAY account you’d be able to access cash using your EPAY debit card 24 hours a day. It works just like an e-wallet allowing you to access cash from anywhere in the world.

You could even use your EPAY debit card to send money to friends or relatives anywhere in the world too.

So how do you get money to your EPAY account? Simple. You can transfer it from your bank account, via egold or pecunix. Easy. Another feature of the EPAY service is the ability to make and receive payments using SMS on your mobile phone or by email. EPAY services certainly sound convenient don’t they?

I haven’t signed up for an account yet, but I expect that I will in the near future. Have you tried EPAY and or their debit cards yet?

New look coming soon!

September 16, 2007 by Tricia

I think that sometime over the next couple of days the look of this site will change.

I know … I’ve said that a couple of times this summer. I just haven’t been able to find the time to customize a new theme for this site and a couple of other blogs that I write that need a new look too.

I really do need to change this theme. the sidebars load first and since they have some scripts in them that can be slow it really slows the loading time of the content. I’ve tried to switch the coding in the theme so that the posts will load first but every time I’ve tried the them breaks. I must have tried 30 times over the last year in several different ways and each time it’s ended in failure.

I’ve got a few themes in mind for this site. I just have to decide which one to customize to make it “mine”, but once I do this place will have a new look.

It’s Freezing!

September 16, 2007 by Tricia

Chris called from his parents house a little after midnight. I’m surprised he was back at their home. Usually our friends parties go on and on well into the early morning hours.

He was standing outside using the cellphone when he called because he didn’t want to wake his parents while he talked. He was freezing. I happened to look at the weather widget on my computer and it was only 8 Celsius (46.4 F)! Now, as I write this at 1:30 am it’s dropped almost three degrees and it’s 5 Celsius (41 F)! That’s darn cold! If it keeps getting this cold at night I’m going to have to bring in my tropical plants!

I think Chris was shivering while he talked to me, either that or he was slurring from the drinks that he’d had … but I think it was shivers. Well … hopefully it was more shivers than slur.

Wow, if it’s getting cold this fast this year maybe we should plan a trip to a warm area this winter? Maybe get an Orlando rental home for a week? Oh yeah I could get into that!

Learn to dance the Salsa, Merengue, Cha-Cha and Bachata

September 15, 2007 by Tricia

Have you ever wanted to learn how to dance the Salsa? It’s a lovely dance and it’s fun too.

Perhaps you experimented with Latin dance while on a vacation? Come on, you’ve tried it haven’t you? I was lucky enough to learn to Salsa and Meringue when I was only 12 years old as I got to spend two months in the Caribbean visiting my brother. He lived and worked on one of the islands and I have wonderful memories of that time.

Never mind vacations and dancing I’ve noticed that over the last few years there’s been a lot of interest in various types of dance. Look at shows like Dancing with Stars – doesn’t that make you want to dance too?

I think people have become more interested in dance because the television shows have made it so much more popular, and also because the stars in the dance shows really get themselves in good shape. Just look at how their bodies change from the start of the dance competitions to the finales? The stars are in fantastic shape after all those hours of dancing. If dancing will do that for me – sign me up!

If you’re interested in dance you should visit the Salsa, Merengue & Bachata Dance Bootcamp. It’s an online dance school. Imagine that.

As a member of the online Salsa BootCamp you can watch videos that will take you step by step through each of the Latin dances that they teach. Lessons start off with the most basic of steps and work their way through to advanced dance steps. As a member you’ll also receive free professional quality DVDs that you can use to practice dance steps anywhere.

Just think. You can learn how to do these beautiful dances in the privacy of your own home. It’s a fun way to get some exercise and you’ll be able to surprise your family and friends when you show them how well you can do the Salsa, Merengue, Cha-cha and Bachata.

When you sign up to learn to Dance with Salsa Dancing BootCamp you’ll get two free DVD’s right off the bat. You can start with a three day free membership if you want to explore the site and begin a few dance lessons in order to see if you’ll enjoy the courses. If you want to continue after your first free three day trial you can choose from a month, three month or one year membership. You’ll get free DVD’s and Salsa dance music with each membership.

It certainly sounds like fun and there’s plenty of lessons to take at the Salsa Bootcamp. Who knows, I might even sign up and brush up on my mostly forgotten Salsa and Merengue dance steps too.

Time to cook

September 15, 2007 by Tricia

I’m starving.

With Chris away for the night I have to come up with a meal for one. Hmmm what should I have.

We’ve been eating a lot of baked skinless boneless chicken breasts lately – not every day, but several times a week.

Early this week I was getting a little tired of the baked version so I marinaded two chicken breasts in a honey mustard marinade after cutting the meat up into bit sized chunks. I think tossed the chicken in our Wok and stir fried the chicken until it was cooked.

Meanwhile I made a salad with mixed greens, fresh tomato and cucumber from the garden, and crumbled feta cheese. When the chicken was finished cooking I put it on top of the salad and we had a very filling chicken salad for dinner.

Perhaps I’ll make that again. I really enjoyed it the other night.
