Sleepless in T.O.

June 13, 2007 by Tricia

I just had the worst night and day that I’ve had in a long long time. I never went to bed last night. I was just in too much pain.

Being in pain through the night sucks. It’s a regular occurrence.

I ended up staying up trying to get a few things done on the computer, almost caught up with my email and read a forum that I visit daily for a few hours.

When I did finally try to go to bed I lay in bed in a semi-state of sleep. You know when you are hovering at the point of just about falling asleep but you are still very much aware of time passing and of what might be going on around you. You know, things like the phone ringing about 6 different times, big noisy trucks rumbling by outside and so on?

It wasn’t until maybe 2:30 pm that I finally fell asleep and of course at 2:45 pm my husband called from work to tell me something. He couldn’t get me so he called four times in a row before I finally realized whoever was calling wasn’t giving up. So I got up to answer the phone and told him what was going on.

Now it’s a bit after 6 and I’m up. As I should be … but man, I didn’t really get any sleep.

Yours truly, sleepless in Toronto

That must be tough. Ouch. I hope you get a better period soon. I have no excuse for being up late – what the heck is it that makes it so darn difficult to GO TO BED? sometimes I think that we should live in another timezone, we would be fine with that Mr L and I 🙂

Sorry to hear that. Lack of sleep can really mess with your head. Can’t you take anything for the pain ?
