They eyes have it – learn eye makeup secrets

April 28, 2007 by Tricia

As I’ve mentioned before on this site I studied to be a makeup artist and a special effects makeup artist when I first came to Toronto. I’d always had a strong interest in makeup, and as a teen spent quite a bit of time holding makeup sessions for my friends – making them look spectacular for the parties or clubs we were going out to that evening.

I guess I’ve had a few different careers haven’t I? It seems these days I’m a sick nurse and I suppose developing quite a nice home freelance writing business. I wonder what will be next?

As a former certified makeup artist I can tell you that applying your Eye Makeup correctly is very important. As you probably already know, if you have nice looking eyes people spend more time talking to you and likely find you more attractive. As far as makeup goes, the eyes, lips and brows are probably the most important features to pay attention to when you are doing your own makeup.

If you’d like to learn new techniques, or perhaps simply the proper techniques for applying eye makeup you should visit makeuptip.com. If you want to learn how to give yourself a sophisticated, elegant or dramatic look you’ll find some great articles with step by step instructions. You can also read articles about how to create a natural look using eyeliner, and how to make your eyes look both brighter and wider.

Visit Makeuptip.com and give yourself a new look today.

Do you ever find yourself looking at people and wishing you had a washcloth handy? It drives me nuts. People have so many problems with their eyebrows – especially the ones who start tweezing clear back in the middle. ARGH!!!

I’m a big fan of eye makeup except sometimes it really changes people. Like without it, they like REALLY REALLY REALLY WEIRD.

Amazing Gracie – Yes occasionally. LOL Eye brows are a pet peeve of mine – no not mine. LOL I mean the people who either over pluck them so that their brows are just this tiny thin line or over fill them in. I like natural looking brows best – a little shaping is fine but don’t over do it. It just looks clownish when people over do it.

Brian – Eye make up can really make a persons eyes look beautiful. of course it helps if they have nice looking eyes to begin with of course. yeah, when you are used to seeing someone with their eyes made up all the time it can be kind of different looking at them without any make up can’t it?

Maybe some of the people you’ve seen that look really weird without eye make up have been using make up to fix a flaw or something. It’s amazing how much make up can change a persons looks or even repair a flaw.

Hm. I think I need more like a personal makeup artist that can help me every time in that case…. *giggles*

I’m totally worthless and helpless and untalented when it comes to makeup. I’ve never done much makeup in my entire life.

Why? Because somehow, what ever I’ve done – I always look much better without the makeup. I have no clue why.

I even went to a professional a year ago, that did my make up – and I wasn’t at all satiesfied with the result. Mr L said that he didn’t really recognize me afterwards and he didn’t like it either.

He agrees with me so far: I look better without makeup… (and he didn’t believe me before that!)

BTW: I think that you’ll love my photo hunt picture today ๐Ÿ™‚

Jean Luc … you mean you don’t go to the conventions to see your fans? Surely if you do you could use some make up tips! LOL

When I’m in a hurry I like to multi task. I use my bronzer minerals on my cheeks, sides of forehead, and eyes. Add a little highlight shade along brows and middle of top lid and tada! Done!

As for me I can’t go out in the house without make up anymore.. Although I’m used of not having a make up before but now I really wanted to put make up even just a little bit just to emphasize my look..
