For the Love of Peace

This is an almost blown Love and Peace rose blossom. This is absolutely gorgeous multicolored rose.

It begins it’s blooming stage as peach and yellow colored buds that bloom into multi-colored roses of yellow, red, orange, and peach that could seem quite gaudy if you stare at them too long. The fully open rose blooms are at least 5 inches in diameter and the love and peace Hybrid Tea rose plant itself bloom prolifically throughout the season.

I’m eager for my rose growing season to begin. I have to wait almost two months before I’ll start to see the first flower buds on my roses. It’s worth the wait.

Gardeners, Plant and Nature lovers can join in every Sunday, visit As the Garden Grows for more information.

We have those in our front yard. They are beautiful and fragrant. We’ve had some grow as large as saucers. They’re heat sensitive so you have to make sure they have partial shade during the day. I live in New Mexico and it gets a little hot down here. 😛

I like the name of it 🙂
Pretty colors, too. Our rose bushes are looking real good right now.
    Beautiful photo, Tricia!

So full and frilly, and such a lovely blend of colors. I need to try roses again! They don’t like full tropical sun, but now that I’ve got some full-grown trees and shrubs to provide dappled sunlight … yeah, I hould try that!

That sounds like a nice flower.

Sorry I didn’t get to participate this week in GTS but I’ve been waiting for my string of bananas plant to finally open up it’s bloom so it could be my first entry. :0)
