I should never make plans

March 26, 2007 by Tricia

Nothing seems to have gone as planned this weekend. In many ways that’s a bad thing, but in one aspect it turned out well.

The weather was actually fairly nice this weekend, although not as nice as it will be for most of the week. I’d been hoping to get out into the garden to clean it up a little bit and perhaps plant the bulbs that I purchased last fall and never got around to planting. Most of the bulbs survived but I’ve gotta plant them soon! I’d also hope to go out for a walk or two – maybe down to the beach that I showed you on Saturday.

Unfortunately I’ve continued to feel absolutely rotten all weekend. Not only has my stomach/abdomen continued to act up but on Saturday I woke up with an extremely sore throat, sore neck and sore knees. My shoulder joined the list on Sunday.

It’s my stomach that feel the worst thought. Sometimes I just wish I could reach into my abdomen and pull out the painful parts. Yeah I know that probably wouldn’t help, but it sure seems like a good idea when the pain is really bad.

The one good thing that happened over the weekend is that I managed to make a fair amount of money on Sunday. As you probably know I make most of my income off the internet … well all of it actually. Now while my ads continue to bring in some money each day, I usually don’t make much money from the other services that I use on the weekends. I did work for three different services that I work with on various sites that I own and made the most money in one day that I think I’ve ever made.

At least if I continue to feel ill this week, or end up feeling even worse, I know I made some money that I hadn’t been expecting to make over the weekend so if I need to take a day or two off I guess I can.

I just want to feel better though. The weather is starting to get so much nicer and I’d like to get outside. Even if I don’t manage to do much outside it would still be nice to maybe sit on my porch or wander through my garden for a short while.

Aw, I’m sorry you’re having such a rough time,my friend. You really don’t want ot give up any parts you were born with if you don’t have to, though, imho. I hope something a little less drastic can get you feeling better soon. Walking on a beach should not be postponed indefinitely.

Oh, and since you’re in a beach-walking frame of mind, you’ve been tagged to join me on a deserted island! http://skeetsstuff.skeeterbess.com/2007/03/26/not-quite-gilligans-isle/

=T That’s nice being able to stay home to work though. Uber-flexible hours. Hope this week turns out better.

    Ruth – Thank you.

Skeet – Nice invite. Uhm … did you forget I’m a nurse too? Sure I can grow the veggies but I can also tend to wounds and if I say so myself I can build a mean lean-to as well.

Brian – it is nice to be able to stay at home and work – especially since I can see myself starting to make the income I used to make while working in the ER. Sure wish I felt better though … there’s days that I don’t feel up to sitting at the computer and trying to make money. I guess it’s nice to have the choice to work or not – but without any other income I can’t have too many days when I feel so bad I can’t do work to make money on the net.

Hey Tricia, I saw on the P page you are a ‘Top Earner’!!! Congratulations – it’s fabulous to be able to earn an income while you are staying home – and it looks as though you’ve been working HARD.

I’m sorry to hear you’re not feeling well – take care 🙂

PS Looking forward to the meme, but I’m leaving home Thursday morning – for nearly a month and may only have dial up – YUK – so might not get to it – but it sounds like fun!
