Health and Beauty products

October 27, 2006 by Tricia

I found another site that might be of interest. Everyone uses vitamins, health and beauty products and nutritional supplements don’t they? Hand creams, soap, Aromatherapy or candles? Yeah, you do, right?

I’m pretty sure you’re going to like this site. It’s called N101 Nutrition, Health and Sport. They have a great selection of natural supplements, beauty products, Diet and weight loss products made by 100’s of familiar brand names. There is information about each product selection – ingredients, and nutrient facts.

I went into their Health Notes Library and I was amazed at the number of articles they had. I think you could spend hours reading all the information their library contained.

If you are interested in saving money on your favorite brands you can save 30% to 75%, as well as taking advantage of their customer rewards program where you can earn points for each purchase, then redeem them for discounts or free merchandise. N101 prides itself on its priority customer service.

Healthy Lifestyle Website

October 26, 2006 by Tricia

I’ve come across another site that some of my readers might find very helpful. Do you like free items? Perhaps Free Product Samples? It seems to be pretty easy. All you need to do is register on the site and this will enable you to get free product samples.

The company states that it’s goal is to connect American consumers with America’s top brand names. Members will be entitled to obtain free product samples, coupons, and offers for brands and products that they normally buy or that they might someday be interested in purchasing.

As a member you can obtain products from big brand names such as Nature made, Ambien, O.B., Tylenol, Dove, Pfizer, Kleenex, Purina, Robitussin, Oral-B, and Centrum. There are not shipping costs or fees for members.

Did I mention the free articles that you will have access to with your membership? There appears to be articles on minerals and their effect on our health, Diet and weight management products, maintaining a healthy lifestyle plus many more articles.

The site states that membership is free. I didn’t register myself because this site is geared to Americans and as a Canadian I was unable to register, but it looks like there is a lot of good information, advice and tips to be had there, plus free product samples of course. Check it out for yourself.

13 favorite TV shows

Thirteen Things about MY FAVORITE TV SHOWS

1…. The Nine – I’ve been enjoying this new show about the lives of nine people and how they interact after they were held hostage for 52 hours during a botched bank robbery.

2…. Six Degrees– I’m still figuring this show out – but it’s about the lives of six New Yorkers who start out slowly, but now, but the fourth episode or so many of their paths have crossed and some have even become friends.

3…. Heros – I’m really enjoying this show. It’s probably the most unlikely show of all, very unrealistic. Again it’s about the lives of strangers who are slowly discovering that they have super powers. One can teleport through time, two brothers can fly, an Artist can paint the future, a police officer can read minds, a single mother develops an alter ego that takes care of her nasty business, and a teenage cheerleader can survive just about any injury.

4…. ER – Yes I still like this show. It’s changed over the years and the main characters have changed, but as an ER nurse I like it.

5…. Grays Anatomy – I enjoy this show a lot. It’s a medical show but it’s more about the personal lives of the interns and it’s fun to watch them interact and mess up their lives over and over again.

6…. Survivor – I still watch this show and I still think the first season was the best ever. Perhaps I keep watching hoping that they’ll come up with something as good as the first season? If I was ever going to be on a reality show I would probably try to get on this one.

7…. CSI – all of them – I think I like the Las Vegas CSI the best, followed by CSI Miami, then the New York CSI. What can I say, I like murder mystery. It’s hard to keep up with all of these shows though – you can burn out on them if you watch too much!

8…. Lost – I think I watch this show because I’m trying to figure out what’s really going on? I love the characters but the plot twists and turns are really out there sometimes. I can’t imagine how or if they are going to tie it all together.

9…. House – I watch this show for Dr House alone. I love his outrageous personality. Medically this show is all wrong .. oh the symptoms and disease often end up being correct in the end, but doctors performing all those tests on their own- doing their own lab work, working MRI’s and CAT scans and doing surgery etc ect? Uh huh – it just doesn’t happen in real life.

10…. Bones – Creepy gory medical mystery stuff with a fantastic looking FBI agent too. I used to read the creators books before the series came out so I was a fan of this show from the start, but like anything, the books are better!

11…. NCIS – Similar to CSI in some ways in that they do their own investigations , forensics and labwork. I enjoy watching the whole team work together.

12…. Two and a half Men – Two guys without a clue about women. I’m not a total fan of this show, it’s funny though. My husband of course really likes this show so we watch it every week.

13…. The Family Guy – My husbands favorite show and probably one of the best animated series on TV these days. I always laugh while watching it, but half of my laughing is at my husband because he laughs and giggles through the whole thing- he’s often even more entertaining than the show. LOL

Spot and Avoid Mortgage Fraud

October 26, 2006 by Tricia

I remember when we first started looking at houses back in 2001. The whole experience of dealing with a real estate broker, real estate lawyer, mortgage broker and securing a mortgage with the bank were all new, and frankly intimidating experiences for my husband and I. Worse still we’d been hearing more and more stories about Mortgage Fraud in the news.

There were stories in the news about Mortgage scams where you’d be approved for a loan at very reasonable rates but before it was finalized the mortgage company would ask for fees for this or that, and then perhaps ask for more money stating that your approved mortgage wouldn’t be finalized until you paid the rest of the fees they were asking for at that time. There were other stories about hidden fees, people being told their month payments would be lower than what they ended up paying in the end.

I did my research and I used a Real Estate broker and Lawyer that had been recommended by a friend, but it was still an un-nerving process. I wished I’d come across personalhomeloanmortgages.com when we were buying our house. It would have made things a bit easier. There is so much information there, that I as a novice would have appreciated. There’s articles explaining mortgage brokers, Understanding home equity loans, Mortgage basics – called appropriately Mortgage 101. You can do local searches by city to search housing market trends, local mortgage and real estate related service provider listings.

You can visit their Financial Forum and talk with others about things like how to spot hidden fees, and which types of loans work best plus hundreds of other topics. You’ll feel secure when you use this site because all customer data is protected through SecureTrust.

If you’re in the market for a new home or looking to renew the mortgage on your home I suggest you have a look at this site and get some very useful and timely information that will help you make the decisions that are right for you.

I’m so stupid

October 26, 2006 by Tricia

remember in a post that I wrote yesterday I talked about my not sleeping much the night before, and then how I ended up crashing on the couch for hours yesterday evening.

I didn’t take any of my pain meds yesterday at all! As a consequence, once I woke up from my long slumber very early this morning 12:30 a.m. I was in terrible pain.

I started taking my pain meds and the pain calmed down enough for me to sleep at about 5:30 in the morning, but I was in pain all day yesterday once I got up, and as I sit here typing this – again just after midnight today I’m still hurting.

That’s why I’m stupid. I knew if I fell asleep yesterday evening, being so tired, that I’d probably be out a long time. I should have been smart enough to take some medications before I crashed.

If I could have one wish granted I think it would be that my pain would just go away. Where is my fairy godmother when I need her?
