Don’t you hate stains on clothes and carpets?

November 23, 2006 by Tricia

Don’t you just hate it when someone spills red wine on your light coloured carpet? Or someone bumps into you and your wine or grape juice spills on your blouse. I get really frustrate when things spill on my clothes, furniture or carpets because I know how hard it is to remove the stains. Half the time I can’t remove it either and I’m left with a faded stain on the item that was damaged.

I just found a site that sells commercial grade stain remover. The site states “Our spot cleaners can tackle just about any job. Not only is carpet stain removal a breeze but our products will remove stains on couches, curtains, beds, you name it! Our commercial-grade stain removal products will do the job others can’t.” Ok that sounds good to me.

MetroGuardian sells a number of different products- some of which work on specific types of stains such as lipstick and ball point pen stains, or an item that removes scratch marks from hard wood floors. All of the items have fairly low prices so I’d say they’re certainly worth giving them a try. I even took a peek at their terms and conditions section and they will accept returns within 30 days of purchase, so I guess there’s nothing to lose by trying their stain removers.

Have you thought about investing in gold bullion?

November 23, 2006 by Tricia

There’s gold in them thar vaults!

As I’m sure many of you know people have always purchased gold in the form of bullions as a way of investing their money in the hopes of getting a better return on their money when the value of gold increases.

Having been a jeweller in the past I have a tendency to watch the gold prices as they scroll by on the screen during the nightly newscast. When I was a jeweller in the late 80’s gold prices reached the highest that they’d ever been. Business was booming and people were purchasing all forms of gold as an investment. In the last 5 years the price of gold has steadily increased reaching, I believe, an all time high earlier this year.

If you’ve ever thought of investing money into gold bullion now might be a good time. A company called BullionVault.com has created a revolutionary new way for individuals to buy and sell gold bullion online. The gold bullion being traded is held in high security Brinks Vaults in international vaults – in London, New York or Switzerland. Clients using BullionVault can check on the value of their holdings daily because the company publishes the values daily on the site using anonymous aliases that are known only to the client his or herself.

Using the live Market order board at BullionVault you can buy or sell your gold holdings at real-time gold market prices. Apparently BullionVault.com has close to 2 tonnes of gold bullion in the vaults. There is a lot of valuable information on the site if you’d like to learn more about investing in gold bullion.

Early celebration dooms racer

November 23, 2006 by Tricia

Have you ever congratulated yourself or someone else just a little too early?

You know like Faith Hill did at the music awards two weeks ago? Smiling and cheering when the winner was announced and starting to move towards the stage the tiniest bit then the name that was announced sank in and she realized it wasn’t her name? Yeah, she says she was just acting or fooling around but I think she really thought she won.

Ok, so you know what kind of situation I’m talking about now.

Watch this video then- it’s very short – and see a very good example of why you shouldn’t celebrate until you win the race.

Starting a Hosting company is easier than ever

November 23, 2006 by Tricia

Have you ever thought of starting your own hosting company? Perhaps you are using a free hosting blog service right now but you’ve been thinking of taking the big step of using a hosting site and purchasing your own domain? Why not take it one step further by doing that and starting your own hosting company?

Hosterio makes it easy to set up your own Reseller Web Hosting business. Put it this way, to start your own hosting company you need a Hosting website, a way to charge your clients such as a billing Manager to manage your clients, orders and enabling you to accept online orders, a support ticketing Manager to provide support to your clients, a merchant Account, and a Reseller Hosting Package. The good news is that the first four items in the list of what you need are included when you choose your Reseller hosting package.

It’s that easy. Every single thing you need is in the Reseller hosting package. All you have to do is choose which type of reseller package you’d like.

The lowest priced package gives you 500 MB of disk space and 5000 MB of data transfer and 5 domain/accounts with a private label, plus all of the features that your clients will need from email accounts to c-panel to control their own websites and domains, all for only $77.77 US per year. The highest priced package offers you 10000 MB disk space, and 75000 MB of data transfer, and an unlimited number of Domain/accounts for the low price of only $242.22 US per year. All accounts come with 24/7 support.

As some of you know I’m starting a part time web designing business and getting my own hosting Reseller account might be something that would be beneficial to my company and clients in the future. The prices and features that hosterio sound pretty good to me.

Now I’m hungry

November 23, 2006 by Tricia

I just finished writing my Thursday Thirteen post and I have to tell you – it’s made me very hungry. You’ll see what I mean shortly when I post it.

Does this every happen to you? Your surfing the net, reading blogs and all of a sudden a good post or photo stops you in your tracks and you start reading. If the persons talking about food, especially if it’s something that you enjoy eating, you suddenly find that you are hungry?

I do that quite often. I’ll be cruising along minding my own business and then after seeing a few sites with photos of yummy looking food or talking about one of my favorite foods bang I’m starving and gee why do I have a craving for egg rolls all of a sudden? or peanut butter cups?

I wouldn’t be surprised if my upcoming post does that to more than a few people, so I’ll just say sorry in advance. Ok? Forgive me?
