A soon to be extinct Human form

November 25, 2006 by Tricia

One of the Canadian television shows that I enjoy watching is This hour has 22 minutes. Each week they do spoof of the top news stories and often put a uniquely Canadian spin on it.

The video below has a Canadian theme to it- but it’s about something that is happening all over North America, and possibly other parts of the world as well. The Canadian part is that it’s a spoof of a commercial that aired back in the 70’s called Hinter Land Who’s Who – put out by Environment Canada’s Wildlife Services. The 60 second commercials talked about Canadian Wildlife. I remember a lot of Hinter Land commercials about Loons, Owls, deer and Moose.

This one, however is a little bit different. It’s about a type of human that is slowly becoming extinct:

A new memoir – Defiance

November 24, 2006 by Tricia

I was just reading about an interesting new book that I think I’m going to buy as it sounds like a good read. It’s called “Defiance” and it’s a true story that has apparently made the KGB and the DHS want to get rid of the author.

The story, written by Alex Konanykhin, a self made tycoon in post-Soviet Russia, talks about how by the age of 25 he’s created and controlled the largest bank in Russia, but that’s where his troubles began.

Apparently the KGB kidnapped him and stole his fortune which led to Alex Konanykhin to make a daring escape and move to the US in 1992. Unfortunately his troubles weren’t over when he moved to the land of opportunity because he ended up having to fight the FBI, INS, and Justice departments in order to hold onto his freedom and his very life.

In this memoir you can read about how the Russian mafia took out a contract on him, and how the US government is still trying to deport him back to his homeland of Russia where he’d likely end up being killed. Alex is only 39 now- so all of this has happened in the last 14 years. He’s already lived through a lot of trouble and it’s not over yet.

On the Book Website you can even read deleted chapters, and look at photos and various documents that are related to the book and what has happened in Alex’ life so far. Yep, I think this a book that I’m going to buy. It certainly sounds interesting to me.

PMS Survival tips for men

November 24, 2006 by Tricia

Gentlemen…

Do we women confuse you on a regular basis? Does your confusion or even fear heighten on certain days of the month? Are you afraid to open your mouth to answer one of our persistent questions? Perhaps you lock yourself away in a room and hide for two or three days each month?

Am I warm?

If I am, then I’ve found an instructional video on how to not handle us during this time of the month.

My take on this is that if you follow these instructions you’ll probably end up getting yourself into more trouble than if you crawl under a desk and hide.

High Performance Affiliate Marketing E-Book

November 24, 2006 by Tricia

I’ve just discovered an e-book that discusses High Performance Affiliate Marketing, which as many of you know is of high interest to me these days since I’m home sick from work and unable to work as a nurse at this time.

The E-book is a “how-to” guide that focus’ on how you can make money online as an affiliate. The book is on sale right now for only $49.95, but only until December 2nd, then it reverts back to it’s regular price of $99.95. The E-Book claims that it will show you everything you need to know in order to generate massive profits as an affiliate. You’ll learn how to find profitable products and services in which to promote, find niche markets with little completion, achieve top search engine rankings and more.

When you purchase the High Performance Affiliate Marketing book you’ll not only have access to the downloadable e-book, but you’ll be given access to an exclusive members area with the most up to date practical information available.

In the last few months things have started to really click for me on the internet as far as making money goes. If this booklet can show me better ways to achieve my goals- I’m in.

Make a Celebrity Turkey

November 24, 2006 by Tricia

So … my American friends, did you have a great Thanks Giving day? Did you stuff yourself with Turkey and other goodies? I bet you did.

Or were you one of the unlucky ones that had to work? As a nurse I often end up working on holidays and I know how that can just suck – especially if most of your relatives are out of town. You just can’t make it when that happens.

Well, whether you are sitting bloated with turkey in front of your computer, or all by yourself because you couldn’t celebrate the big day – I have a treat for you. Aren’t I nice?

You have to see this video that I just found. It’s a parody video of an Access Hollywood report describing how celebrities spend Thanks Giving and how to make a Turkey like a celebrity.

How did you like that one?
