Lavender Dream

Yet another rose that I grow in my garden:

lavenderdream2

This is a beautiful small rose bush called Lavender Dream that I grow in my front flower bed. If I remember correctly it’s a floribunda.

The flowers are only about 1.5 inches in diameter and they bloom in clusters. So when the small bush is blooming it’s just covered in flowers. It blooms three or four times each season. Right now, since it’s cool outside it doesn’t have any blooms but it’s covered in rose hips.

Remarkably some of my roses are still blooming – Breath of Life, Scent-Sation, Just Joey, Fragrant Cloud, Graham Thomas, Sunsprite, Moulinex and on and on. Why they are blooming- I don’t know. Many of them have very few leaves left, while others still have most of their leaves.

Roses are strange beings.

Don’t forget to visit As the Garden Grows, there’s a new Green Thumb Sunday post there too!

Gardeners, Plant and Nature lovers can join in every Sunday, visit As the Garden Grows for more information.

    Yet another pretty rose!
Once my husband and I got interested in growing roses, we were delighted to find so many different varieties. The smallest rose we have is a Starry Night rose…a rose that some might think is not a rose at all!
    Have a great Sunday :))

I love roses. My favorite rose is a purple rose. I think it is called Sterling or something like that.

I will simply cry if you still have flowers!

Everything here is tan and gray. Now it’s Seasonal Affective Disorder for the majority of those who live here… for approximately the next 9 months.

What a lovely ligth in the picture! Lovely colors. Still blooming, that’s fantastic. Something strange is going on this year, it’s too warm outside too. It use to be very cold here by now.
