I captured this shot of a Mourning Dove in my Parents in Law’s backyard last Sunday when we were there for Thanks Giving. I also got photos of a Robin, a Blue Jay and a fantastic shot of a gray squirrel too.

This photo is a little blurry in the lower edges since I was doing my usual drive by shooting as I often do when we are driving somewhere long distance in the car.

The red coloured bushes are Sumac, they turn the most lovely colour in the fall.

Have a great Sunday, and welcome to our new Green Thumb Members!

    Hi Tricia,

I love taking shots of outdoor life too when we go on long journeys. It’s always good to have the camera ready. You never know what you’ll see along the way. Love the dove pic, we don’t have many of those around here.

    Happy Sunday

The bird is very pretty and the Sumac is really red! I love the burst of color that is taking over right now! Great shots!

Tricia, we have a resident mourning dove at our house. I’ve seen her but never could get close enough to get a good picture. They’re lovely birds aren’t they??
    The sumac is lovely!

    Absolutely Beautiful Sumac!

I love fall! I wish it were fall all year ’round… but God put this chlorophyl thing in plants and trees and messed it all up.

I see the fall colours are amazing from that view.
I am hoping to do some fall colour photos today.
    Happy Sunny Sunday!

The sumac stops being so amazing after a weekend of sleeping under it in Southern Ohio (that means rain at the most inoppurtune times).

Also makes for crap firewood. Other than being useless in a practical way, I do think it’s quite gorgeous.

Those Sumac bushes are a stunning colour. Is that the same as the ‘Burning Bush’? I find much of the US landscape so colourful in the autumn (Fall), more so than over here where decidious trees are not native. Of course, many millions of them have been planted in towns and cities in the southern half of the country.

I hope you have a great week.
