Goodness! I don’t think I’d care to live there. The house looks quite interesting, though. LOL!!

Wow – what was the builder thinking? How would it be at HIGH tide???

Is this the house where the movie of Richard Gere and Diane Lane was shot? It looks like it is..And it’s the “Nights in Rodanthe”!

wow. It would be neat but I would be worried in a good storm!

Hehe, very interesting. It looks like someone really loves the water, or someone hired “professional” architect.

Looks like it could be a bit damp in there :-(

Oh no…but wouldn’t mind a weekend visit…that is if the weather report is good :-)

Nice for a short visit on a calm day!

This reminds me of a Korean movie ‘IL Mare’ and its American version, ‘Lake house.’ This is too close to the sea for me to feel comfortable.

Wow, beautiful house. So cool it’s so close the water.
I’d totally live there! :)

Way to close to the water for me! Happy WW!

At first glance I thought it looked like a cool place to live, then I started thinking: it’s all wood, water erodes wood, and it’s a bit too close to said water. I think it would be cool to try out for a bit, but wouldn’t sign on the dotted line without first experiencing it.

Very interesting house but I wouldn’t trust it in a big storm. Happy WW and Happy Thanksgiving to you!

Looks like a movie set.

It’s called erosion – there probably used to be a nice area of beach between the house and the water. Whenever there is a hurricane or northeaster here in the Va Beach area the houses get closer and closer to the water. There is a strip of beach called Sandbridge that has lost a number of houses due to beach erosion.

I’d hate to see what the bill is for flood insurance

Looks a bit unstable…hee hee.

It looks like it will float when it needs to!

I like the beach, but GAH!!!!

One gust of wind away from just a pile of debris–no thank you

I’m glad to see that pretty much everyone thought that this was an interesting picture. I found it on the internet and while I thought the house looked kind of cool I certainly wouldn’t want to live in a home so close to the water. All I could think of was high tide, hurricanes and other natural disasters.

I’m fairly certain that no insurance company would give out home insurance for this house … or if they did it would be at a very high price!

My life is built around water and this is a bit much for me even! Is that a small drawbridge I see on the side of the house?
