Aw, this is sweet

September 19, 2008 by Tricia

I’m sitting here on the couch trying to work on my laptop and my puppy, missing Chris this evening, decided to come and cuddle.

She has her head in my lap.

So sweet.

Midnight isn’t really a cuddler or lap dog. She loves her attention, but mostly in the form of play. When she was a young puppy she didn’t even like getting her belly rubbed! Of course she had tummy problems so maybe rubbing her tummy hurt.

She’s only just recently become a little more cuddly. Like just this week. Hopefully she’ll start cuddling up to us on the couch a little more often as she realizes she can get some great attention this way.

We took in a beagle a little over a year ago, and it was the first dog I’ve ever had. I’ve always been a cat person, and still am. But there’s definitely something different in the way the dog looks at me. I get a soul-mate feeling from her that I’ve never had with another animal. I still don’t think I’m a dog person, but I’d take a bullet for this dog if it came down to it. They have a way of getting into your heart!

My girlfriend has 2 black labs. I’ve never had a dog so I really enjoy her dogs. They have an incredible appetite.. Nice site.

I have a 70lb lab, and after 4 years, she still thinks she is a lap dog. She tries to rest her head on my laptop keyboard, and it takes up the whole thing.

My dog Faye is quite a big girl but she still seems to refuse to believe that she can’t jump on to my lap and settle down. Her legs are still basically on the floor so I can’t see the benefit myself but she seems to enjoy it!
