I have suffered from BPV (Benign Positional Vertigo) for a long time now. Traditional medical doctors haven’t been able to pinpoint a cause or a solution (beyond taking Antivert after symptoms appear).

So now I’m turning to alternative solutions. I’m seeing an Ayurvedic practitioner who has prescribed a regimen of herbs and a nutrition plan that she believes will cure my dizziness for once and for all – so long as I continue to follow the regimen. I haven’t suffered any episodes yet – however they were intermittent and I’ve only been seeing this doctor for about a month. I’m hopeful, though.

I’m not sure if you follow a nutrition regimen for your Chron’s; if not, it’s something you might want to consider.

I wish I could help you Tricia. It is awful to not feel good. You just want to have more good days than bad. I can only offer a hug.

I sometimes get dizzy standing up too quickly. I was told it might be a blood pressure problem. I hope it isn’t vertigo or meniere’s disease.

Sounds like postural hypotension
Sit up slowly and rest for a few minutes.
Slowly lower your legs over the side of the bed and rest for a few minutes before standing.
When standing move slowly with a firm hold on the bedhead or chair for support.
