Sweet Bear Cubs

May 14, 2008 by Tricia

Wordless Wednesday

tiny bears

Aren’t these bear cubs absolutely adorable? Too bad they can’t stay that size huh?

I’ve never seen bear cubs this young, but I have seen slightly older ones in the wild. I believe the last time I saw a young bear cub was in Algonquin Park. We’d been camping and we drove to a garbage drop off (not a dump, just a drop off with trash cans) and the young cub was near one of the trash cans.

Needless to say we didn’t get out of the car. We couldn’t see Momma bear, but surely she was around and you never get between a mother bear and her cub. That’s like asking for a death sentence!

They look so sweet. I bet they want look so sweet when they get bigger!
I have never seen them up close, but I don’t blame you I would have stayed in the car too.
    Have a great week!

Agreed, they are very cute. Bears do have a very personable appearance even as adults (though I wouldn’t get too close to one).

Wow! You all actually dared to hold the baby cub. I’m just afraid the mother is just around and no one would wanna be close when that happens. Hehe. (Anyway that is a cute looking cub. Could be my wallpaper for the mean time ^^)

Cute pic. It’s a coincidence but today morning I was discussing how all animals including humans look cute when they are babies. Makes us forget their smelly diapers and sleepless nights when they look at us with their innocent eyes and smile when we hold them.
