This weeks theme is Twisted I was busy looking for some interesting picture that I might have taken in the past to use for the Twisted theme when I realized that many of my garden plants have stages where they appear twisted. Take this Johnson’s Blue Geranium for example. The petals are slightly twisted when the bloom first appears. The petals overlap slightly in a clockwise fan shape. This is actually a very pretty tiny flower. The photo above is a macro so the flower appears much larger than it is in real life. I guess the flowers are only an inch or less in diameter, but the plant is just covered in flowers and buds when it blooms.
