Wordless Wednesday

I’m not sure if this is a Gopher or a Prairie Dog, but whatever it is I imagine that it was just trying to enjoy the nut it found when the birds around it decided that they wanted their share too.

I think the birds are Grackles. I didn’t see many of this kind of bird this year, but they usually love our bird feeders!

I guess this Prairie Dog knows how we feel when we eat outside and we’re all of a sudden surrounded by Sea Gulls or Pigeons. Eh?

    Awesome picture. I would love to get shots like that, but every time I put my hand on a camera every bird within 2 miles vanishes!

    Don’t know what kind of birds those are, but they’re not grackles. Used to have grackles in my yard all the time. They look like this:

    The birds almost look like fledging teenagers with those white flecks…maybe this poor critter did the Disney thing and raised up a brood of some other species, and now can’t get them out of the house. Teenagers, what are ya gonna do?
